    I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time

    Pros

Casual office. Decent Benefits. Location is easy to get to.

    Cons

Terrible experience. The 'manager' level employees are largely made of employees who have been with the company long enough to wait for one of the seats to open. Not because they are good at managing employees or have technical knowledge. Managers will play favorites and make it very known. They abuse the time off policy, abuse expense reports and ensure that their direct reports do not advance. This place is TOXIC. Lastly, company is on a really bad downturn. No one wants to buy overpriced diamonds anymore.

    Advice to Management

Tell someone in HR to take what people say seriously. How many times do you have to have employees quit for the reasons before actions are taken.

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Truly this is easy work, and witj good conscience, if you work hard the pay out is good. Employee discount program is good but you are only paying approx. 50% less then the client and only 20% less on engagement. But it is better then nothing.

    Cons

Sales in general brings out the worst in people. You do have to worry about someone stealing sales from you. As there are very few people with a good conscience who will not do this, as is my experience. As for management, it is told to you that they are there to help you and while they are good on their promise, it is not lasting and the same issues, you will find, eventually persist. In the end, whoever is making sales or has a deep client book, these are the people managers will place more attention on, as far as requests are concerned, when made. Seems logical, but it does make for a more stressing environment knowing that your requests may not be as lasting, which brings down the confidence in the long term, creating an even more stressing environment.

    Advice to Management

Continue to try and make sure your employees are happy, don't just say no, but have compromises you feel will assist them in their job and please their experience as a Tiffany & Co. Ambassador.

    Pros

Nothing good about it except the discounts.

    Cons

Management is the worst, they just side with the regular full-time people for everything. They need to hire more experienced, older people who know what they're doing. Constantly bullied and looked down upon. Training was useless since they teach you about diamonds rather than the metals you are actually selling so you sound like you don't know what you're talking about on the sales floor. Everyone is very unhelpful, long hours, they don't compromise. I was hired in September, didn't get contacted to start working til November, if I had known, I would've definitely looked for a different job.

    Advice to Management

Management is the reason why the company is going down. People learn from the terrible managers, which is why the sales associates are all disrespectful. Disappointing coming from a very high name brand. Train better and get on the same level with HR, cause there is no communication there.

Very strong brand image, International Company with multiple locations in the United States, Plenty of opportunities to impact the overall performance of the company.

New CEO came in focused on what was going in his pocket. Moving offshore with many of their manufacturing operations. Leadership is guilty until proven innocent.
