I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I love Tiffany, always have and always will. I loved my job, most of my coworkers, most of the products, and most of the clients. The discount is great, most people will take part time/seasonal work for the discount alone. The pay is decent after 1 year, but it takes some time to build up. The pressure to buy everything Tiffany sucks away your income. The stories are great. The few corporate trainings (once a year)...

    Cons

Manipulation, racism, and laziness. Oh and the in store traffic is down about 50% across the country. The worst part about my experience was the blatant racism, sexism, favoritism, and political upheaval in almost every team. Every sales staff has their issues, but Tiffany is consistent with all of their teams in these categories. A lot of the times you'll hear reviews on here where people say "they don't care about...

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. for less than a year

    Pros

Good management, good benefits, good commutable locations.

    Cons

If hired by season, there is no way to know if they will hire you permanently. The process takes too long and you might end up leaving the company for something more secure.

    Advice to Management

Some so call "leads" are not what they seem to be. Better pay more attention to this matters.

I worked at Tiffany & Co. full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Employee discount, employee store, reputable company, looks good on your resume if you want to stay in the jewelry industry, decent health benefits and 401k

    Cons

Pay is bad, hours are long, no work life balance, favoritism, management had no experience, too much emphasis on competition between employees, horrible commissions, no respect for hard workers, no room for growth, discriminatory

    Advice to Management

Tiffany & Co needs to hire managers with actual management experience. The "managers" at our store not only had no management experience, but had no sales experience either. I believe to be a good manager you need to understand the job of the people you are overseeing.
