    I have been working at Tiffin Motorhomes full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The hours from 6:00 - 2:30 are nice if you have kids or like to deer hunt.

    Cons

    No seniority between employees. Only 2 personal days a year. They have their vacations set for all employees at the same time twice a year.

    Advice to Management

    Work hard, learn as much as possible, keep your nose down and stay out of trouble,

    Pros

    -Good pay for the AREA.
    -Good benefits, but I've heard the health insurance had some changes to it this year (thank you obamacare) health insurance is BCBS of AL and is about $25 a week for individual and $56 for family.
    -Work monday-friday 6am-2:30pm unless you have to work overtime (good for parents)
    -When something happens to an employee all other employees ban together and help out (cancer, house fire, death of a loved one, accident) everyone on the floor (average joes) would take up money for that family to help out.

    Cons

    -Buddy system
    -not rewarded for your hard work
    -HORRIBLE and LAZY utilities and supervisors and are friends with everyone in HR so makes it difficult for workers
    -Only 2 personal days a year, if your sick they take a "personal day", if your late they take HALF a day
    -They schedule your vacation time, 1 week for 4th of July and 1 week for christmas/new year

    Advice to Management

    Happy employees make better workers, Go back to how it used to be run, utilities used to HAVE to fill in when someone was out or was behind schedule. Treat your employees like actual people, not machines. When Bob Tiffins ran things it was better, now that his sons have took over things it has gone down hill. Manager Brad Whitt @ Belmont is a great man and has a lot of respect from the workers and Jared Posey is an AMAZING utility!! Everyone who worked under Jared loves him and everyone else would love to work in his department. Take a lesson from Jared and you'll have a better work place.

    I worked at Tiffin Motorhomes (Less than a year)

    Pros

    This company has very few pros. A week off for Christmas and New Years? One for the 4th of July. I hear the health insurance is good. Cheap if you go to the crack pot town doctor.

    Cons

    No time off. If you are going to be sick for more than two days out of the year, stay away. Unless you work in an office job. Then it is peaches and cream. However, 90% of the time you have to be related to somebody else in the office to get those jobs. The whole place is very cliquish and if you don't fit in..too bad. You won't be around for long. It is also very difficult to move up in the company. You are only a lackey and if you quit, four more people are waiting to get your job. The training system is non-existent. They throw you in to the sharks and expect you to get 6 motorhomes a day finished. Nobody in your group can leave until 6 homes have been finished. That leads to workers just tossing products in the RVs and a shoddy all around product. No wonder the owner of the company is disappointed every time one of his RVs is at a show.

    Advice to Management

    Get your act together. This isn't high school. All this CYA (cover your booty) is detrimental to the workplace. Nobody wants to come to the HR when they know their problem won't be solved or their problem will be spread around the workplace as gossip.

    Pros

    the only pros to this company i have found is they will hire anyone and do no not like to fire people

    Cons

    from top management to bottom, there isn't any direction or schedule that is held. engineering doesn't care about the product. management doesn't want to put out any money to fix the problems or pay the salary cost to get real engineer's in. they do not have yearly reviews, which is why they don't give out raises.

    Advice to Management

    you need to hire real engineer's versus cad operators to do the design work. you need to reward you staff with raises each year. start caring about the product you sell, there is a reason your service department is overloaded. quit letting bad product roll down the line to save money

    The people that work there

    Poor management there a big supporter of the buddy system as long as you kiss up you'll move up the slideout dept has one of the worst surpervisors I have ever worked for and upper management doesn't care they've raised there pay to keep people but I don't think it's working

    Start over with all new supervisors
