Treat employees right, good hours, good management, nice regulars, environment, interesting jobs to learn, free coffee, pay, clean, uniforms, relaxed policies, free donut each day, 50% discount, not much micro management, willing to work with you

    Cons

customers are downright terrible, storefront is set up weird. waking up at 5am, part of life though. training wasn't too detailed, but honestly helped you to just dive in and overcome the pressure.

    Advice to Management

cheer up and you aren't getting that 25 second drive time because of the customers who can't learn how to order. lol

I have been working at Tim Hortons part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free Donuts
    Free Drink
    Fair Wages
Tim Horton's is actually a company you can be proud of. They respect their workers, at least at the one where I was. It was like any other job, nothing special, but the people there made it kind of cool to be there, and the food and drinks were cheap. I miss the area too, I loved being around the Wayne State kids.

    Cons

Though my managers were nice, they were barely ever there and getting ahold of them was always a huge feat for everyone. Even as a supervisor there are still only certain decisions you can make and you don't want to make the wrong one and end up with an emergency or make a mistake so dire that the company loses money.

    Advice to Management

Be there more often, you cannot run a startup business from home, even a franchise.
Make sure that there is ALWAYS a way that your employees can get ahold of you.
