I have been working at Tim Hortons part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fast Pace, Meet People, Always Something to Do

    Cons

Management, Coworkers Low Work Ethic, Always Changing Staff, Not Enough Supervision

    Advice to Management

Don't make it so easy to get a job, since a lot of the people that get hired leave in a couple months. It's good to have a constant supply of new hires but it gets unsteady. Also, need to rotate the schedule more for part timers, since some work every weekend not by choice, like myself, and others get every weekend off.

    Pros

Receptive management and loyal customers. Coworker's are fun and friendly for the most part. It really is a team at Timmy Ho's.

    Cons

Owners continually come down on management about speed of service. You can only make sandwiches and pour coffee so fast!

Consistent stable work hours with 24 hr business. Lots of Overtime for 3 out 4 seasons yearly, The job requires a little bit of focus, but is fairly easy.

    Cons

Too many franchises with to little adequately trained employees. You'll end up working short handed a lot.

I have been working at Tim Hortons part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, endless free coffee and the ability to train in different areas. You aren't stuck just working cash register if you don't want to.

    Cons

Constantly understaffed. I've had to work overnights alone when the location clearly needs more people baking and handling customers at night. No one I work with has had a raise in years.

    Advice to Management

Remember your employees are working a high demand job for very little pay.
