    Pros

Great work experience and opportunities to learn. Great colleagues, many are like family. Fantastic benefits including insurance and vacation time.

    Cons

Upper management out of touch and lazy. Work life balance is a joke if you want to advance. Difficulties regarding merger with Comcast (did not go thru) and Charter (finalized 2016).

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Find out what is really happening

    Pros

Fair pay & incentives. Good leadership. There are always people who want to get better. It's a big company, so there are a lot of opportunities.

    Cons

It's a big company, so change can be hard. There are always people who simply don't want to get better.

    Advice to Management

Leadership is really good when they are engaged in helping the team improve, so... stay engaged.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours & great benefits to include free cable, internet and phone.

    Cons

Under qualified Management in place, hired only due to association not skill set. Mamagment lacks people skills and are true "Bosses" not LEADERS. Reorg every year, never know who'll be impacted.

    Advice to Management

Learn the job/perfect the craft before expecting your teams to. Make sure your entire teams training needs are met. LISTEN to your employees and OWN the fact that things are a mess, come up with a plan and execute!

    Pros

Room to grow, great benefits.. Hire from within first!! Caring attitude, great company to work for!!

    Cons

Current ongoing Merger leaves a lot to question.. So far the 401k for Time Warner Cable out weighs Charter and the fact that there is no pension just raises more concern under Charter regime

I worked at Time Warner Cable (Less than a year)

    Pros

The extensive training that I received was truly best in class and the people were very warm and welcoming not to mention getting free cable is always a big plus

    Cons

The job itself in the customer service department consist of you being a punching bag for every walk of life that is a customer of this company and if you ever anything but polite and open to all negative comments towards you and the company you work for then you will be terminated immediately so good luck.

    Advice to Management

Advancing into management is like running for president no matter how unqualified you are for this position if enough people like you then anything is possible however don't expect a raise anytime soon because during the managerial review anything and everything that can be found will be thrown at you so that this company doesn't have to give you a whopping 0.25 cent raise will be your future.
