    Pros

The best thing about this company is the benefits

    Cons

you get blamed for everything from the AE to the Managers so be prepared and cover your butt on everything. The company is all about the money not their people.

I worked at Time Warner Cable Media full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The employee benefits are much better than other companies. The 401K and pension plan was fantastic! This was a very career oriented company to work for and management was very supportive in helping you reach your goals.

    Cons

There are really no cons other than the possible pay structure for some of the support staff and operations staff, however, the additional benefits are helpful.

    Advice to Management

Keep up to date with the most current technologies when working with the software programs for the company. Hire more knowledgeable full time training facilitators for specialized training.

    Pros

Great health insurance, good 401k, cool employee perks (tickets to events, parties, etc.)

    Cons

The actual job (phone customer service) is terrible. You have to meet certain metrics or you get written up, you get yelled at by angry people all day, just generally a crappy customer service job.

    Advice to Management

Better technical and customer handling experience before you send people to the floor.

I worked at Time Warner Cable Media (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very steady and predictable, if you like that sort of thing. People were very friendly. Sadly, I'm having a difficult time coming up with pros.

    Cons

Basically you were a machine. As a traffic coordinator in this office, you had no ability to think outside the box. It was a highly micro-managed group, where a time clock ruled the day -- seriously, who clocks in anymore? You could not be a minute late or you had to work a minute later -- I mean, it's LA -- traffic happens all the time.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees, only then will they be intrinsically motivated to do their best work. Remove the time clock, everyone is an adult and can manage their day -- those that can't will be naturally weeded out. Best of luck with the Charter/Spectrum merger.

    Pros

Great support system, multiple software systems to avoid manual work a big plus, robust research, several perks, great benefits

    Cons

The only real downside is the many layers of management makes it more difficult to get immediate action. But no more than any other corporation this size.
