I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work experience and opportunities to learn. Great colleagues, many are like family. Fantastic benefits including insurance and vacation time.

    Cons

Upper management out of touch and lazy. Work life balance is a joke if you want to advance. Difficulties regarding merger with Comcast (did not go thru) and Charter (finalized 2016).

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Find out what is really happening

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The training time was great. Investing in this area is necessary for the high volume of calls. The earning potential was astounding and most of the supporting supervisors are a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

This is, no doubt, one of the highest stress environments to work in a customer service position, yet there is no automatic 2-minute break in between calls. Many customers are calling in with serious concerns and are angry. This happens all day, every day. It seemed to me that our psychological or emotional well-being was not valued for the extremely urgent work we do.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in training, add more achievable incentives more often, and add in a automatic break between calls, even if it is just one minute. It's hard to recommend this job to a friend when there is no one advocating for employee's well-being.
