    Pros

    Fair compensation. Great work hours.

    Cons

Retirement plans have gotten stingy. Recently had to layoff 20% of employee base, to avoid takeover. So not too stable, anymore. Very hard to move up, veterans never leave and when they do, positions are done away with.

    Advice to Management

Took too long to figure out multi device digital distribution, Content is not innovative, still resting on the laurels from hits of 20 years ago.

I worked at Time Warner full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent professional experience for the time I was involved in the business.

    Cons

Slow to see around the corner and to make the hard moves to change.

    Advice to Management

Create an environment that supports fast failures and innovation. Media has to move at the speed of consumers and that's now accelerated to real time.

I have been working at Time Warner full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Time off, summer Fridays, work-life balance, flexibility

    Cons

Promotions do not seem to be based on merit, and career growth is very slow and limited

    Advice to Management

If someone does a very good job a project, and has delighted the clients there should be some reward .. making not encouraging good employees a pattern (in fact rewarding failed projects) is not a good retention strategy

    Pros

Highly competitive compensation with great benefits. People are intelligent and hardworking and generally able maintain a desirable work-life balance. Management is highly competent and employees are empowered to do their jobs largely unchecked or micromanaged. There's a sense that the executives know what they're doing which fosters confidence in the employees across the company.

    Cons

A very corporate and somewhat stuffy work environment that lacks a sense of community. Red tape and a top heavy executive structure also seems to limit fresh ideas and innovation. It's a fine place to settle in and get cozy for a while but don't expect to rock the boat or sow your creative oats.

    Advice to Management

Better team building could go a long way
