I have been working at Titan Machinery full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Upper management at the corporate level is very aware of the economical climate.

    Cons

Upper management only looking at the big picture of the company as a whole. Keeps trying to do a systems approach to problem solving. Instead they should focus more on mentoring and training at the individual store level. At this point Titan Corporate does not have the employees to address poor performance at the individual store level. While in the meantime, Titan is loosing managers at top performing stores because they are not willing to pay more to retain good employees. I expect more store closings next fiscal year as a way for Corporate to try to manage costs.

I have been working at Titan Machinery (More than 3 years)

    Pros

State of the art facility, good teamwork, room for advancement if willing to move

    Cons

Benefits taken away in the last year, i.e. no more 401K match and company changed from sick and vacation given at beginning of year to "accumulated" PTO of 5 hrs every 2 weeks. Used to be employee appreciation trip to a resort for awards, this was taken away 2 years ago.

    Advice to Management

Moved overseas and opened too many new stores too quickly when Ag market was doing well...grew too fast too soon.
