I have been working at Toll Brothers full-time

    Pros

Great culture, competitive pay, awesome product, great support from both field personnel and back office, this company really cares about its employees

    Cons

I cannot think of a whole lot of negative things to say about this company. It is a highly stressful job, but that is not unique to this company, that is just the nature of this business.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. The company is in a great position currently in this market, and if we stay on this track it will continue to be a leader in the residential home building business

I have been working at Toll Brothers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Vacation houses are awesome to use. Benefits include discounted stock shares and health/life insurance. The amount of vacation days go up after you've been there for five years.

    Cons

Trying to take a vacation or just simply a day off during "peak" periods is difficult. No work/home balance. Expect to work every weekend and only take vacations in the summer. Pay is not good. Other new home builders have better pay rates and bonuses. There is a big disconnect between upper management and sales people. The company seems to have no clue what is going on in the market and what trends are hot. They are very slow to make change and very cheap.

I have been working at Toll Brothers (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Toll Brothers is a well respected, well known company. It feels good to work for a top rated company. There are town hall meetings which keep employees informed as to what is going on within the company and quarterly newsletters. Good benefits, great perks like big, beautiful guest houses that employees can rent for vacation, lots of fun things at the corporate office (from a Peeps contest in the Spring, a Halloween contest, Holiday party, health fair on site, mobile oil changes on site, chair massages, car detailing on site while you work, seminars on 401k's and understanding your benefits, seminars on how to conduct webinars and many other continuing education type things, etc). They also offer summer hours! :)

    Cons

Lack of women in management positions. (Just getting a maternity policy in 2016 shows how far behind the times the company is when it comes to women in business)

    Advice to Management

Strive to see men and women equally at Toll Brothers.

    Pros

Awesome place to work. Work with a small and nice team

    Cons

Homes are not affordable for employees

    Advice to Management

Make tuition reimbursement a company policy. Reduce the discount for buying toll brothers homes so more employees can own luxury homes

    Pros

Salaries are competitive and the benefits package is also very competitive. The management team, as a general rule, treats all employees with respect and common courtesy. All interaction, good or bad, is respectful.

    Cons

The company micromanages everything that goes on from top to bottom. Unfortunately, this company has the inability to get out of its own way in its effort to grow and remain successful. Toll's biggest obstacle in being more productive is itself. The biggest difference I find, compared to other national home builders, is that every step is over complicated with an incredible amount of unnecessary minutiae.

    Advice to Management

Properly staff your communities so that your staff does not have to wear the hats of four different disciplines- this may allow your employees the time needed to focus on what they were hired to do.

    Pros

    Great management team.
    Company cares about employees.

    Cons

    Working weekends.
Even if you work 32 + hrs a week, you aren't considered full time, so no benefits.
Greeters can't work more than 4 days a week.

    Pros

A lot of "Employee Perks" from the "Company" (Toll Brothers).... Benefits are ok.... Colleagues are friendly... A lot of ways to lighten stress from company events... Work-life balance.... Salary is OK, but no bonus....Sales and Operations work together which makes the process less intense and stressful...

    Cons

(TBI MORTGAGE .....sister company of Toll Brothers) Lacking Diversity, Appears to meet the "Minimum" EEOC requirements for Minorities (from sales to post closing approx 6 African Americans in the Horsham Office) if appears to be different rules for "Certain" individuals ...Serious Micromanaging... If you have any issues (with management), please KNOW you have NO SUPPORT.....

    Advice to Management

Management needs a lot of training on how to manage staff members. Work on DIVERSITY!!!!
