I worked at Toll Brothers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very professional company with dedicated employees working as a team. Compensation is good as are the benefits. Many opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

They are very demanding and work you very, very hard. You are expected to fall in line as if you are in the army.

    Advice to Management

They are hugely successful so I am not going to presume I know better than they.

    Cons

Some processes need updating and approvals are sometimes slow but things are heading in the right direction in this area.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Toll Brothers full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

They're a huge company with room to grow. They're willing to train if needed for entry-level staff. Have great projects to work on.

    Cons

With its size, that is also a downfall. Marketing, where i worked, seemed lost at times due to the quick pace of its growth. Quick decisions without fully thinking about process. More REactive vs. PROactive. Pay could be alot better

    Advice to Management

Offer better pay and more advancement within departments.

I worked at Toll Brothers full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Toll has shown a consistent inclination to promote from within it's ranks allowing those that have work the hardest and contributed the most towards company goals to be the beneficiary of those efforts

    Cons

Monday night meetings are mandatory part of culture nationwide though rumors are they will be eliminated or optional in the near future

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the feedback and perspective of local management. After all the development and homebuilding universe does not begin and end in the Philadelphia headquarters and those in California, Colorado, Texas, and the Carolinas may just know what works better in their marketplace than Barry Depew.

    Cons

they give small raises, small work hours flexibility

    Advice to Management

    Pros

I like the plant manager, safe work conditions hours of operation I can work around during the summer.

    Cons

Not enough money for the type of work that is involved.

    Advice to Management

Training classes for up and coming supervisors. Have employees try new positions. (Cross training). Need a grace period for trainees. Overall I can see a bright future for the company and myself.
