International Company with great reputation throughout Australia and Asia.
Solid Company from a longevity standpoint.
    Good financials for growth.

US based management have a steamship mentality - "build it and they will come" with no strategic direction.
Execs bring in every crony they worked with for the past 20 years to bleed the company dry.
Fire or push out any legacy employees from before the acquisition.
Bring in foreign employees to replace US citizens

    Advice to Management

    none, they wouldn't listen anyway......

I have been working at Toll Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits, pension and yearly raises. Your like your own boss when your driving. It's all hook and drop. Can't complain it's easy $$$$ it's 4-10s, full medical we have Kaiser HMO and when the ports get busy, your busy. the majority of the trucks are automatic. We are TEAMSTER STRONG

    Cons

If your familiar with the ports it has peak seasons so if your low in seniority, you will get laid off a month or more. There is no overtime after 8 hours, only after you've worked 40 hrs straight time then you get over time. Split schedules. Not a stable job if your the bottom guy

    Advice to Management

If you know the yard gets full of containers please coordinate with the jockeys and dispatch so everything moves more smoothly. Other than that great job, can't complain.

I worked at Toll Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Offers FMLA to help wife's cancer battle, acts as if they are willing to work with you. Medical and FSA helped.

    Cons

Terminated due to my wife having breast cancer. Management never given me a proper backup, leading to work lagging. When I was out, no one covered my desk. Management made work impossible to catch up on due to ridiculous ideas (changed way supplies were distributed so I was away from my desk more than at my desk)

    Advice to Management

Be more helpful and sympathetic towards employees needs
