I have been working at Tolleson Wealth Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Health insurance, dental insurance, weekly lunches, monthly breakfast, happy hours, high level of service, two company meetings a year for everyone, annual picnic, annual Christmas party, high company communication levels, very nice management/directors, great PTO!

    Cons

Any company has those people that are annoying. I would say the thing I like the least is lately people have been leaving and we have been hiring a bunch but I honestly haven't worked somewhere that hasn't had the same problem.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work on constantly trying to improve the company. Your employees are very appreciative of everything we receive!!

Sr. Mgmt is out of touch with reality at the company. Turnover used to be rare and now it's normal.

    Pros

    Great central location
No business development or sales quotas
Highly complex planning scenarios to keep you on your toes

    Cons

High turnover leads to poor client service as staff are left scrambling.
Promotions were uneven at best and highly political at worst.
They preach small family firm values but do not practice them.
Managers are competing to make director, and will push staff under bus to make themselves look good. Most managers I worked with were unprofessional. We held "manager only" meetings that turned into gossip sessions. Nasty stuff.

    Advice to Management

Hire professionals and train managers in staff management, not just financial planning concepts. Stop the manager only meetings, they were complete BS.

I have been working at Tolleson Wealth Management full-time

    Pros

Fantastic coworkers. Everyone seems to really enjoy what they do and coming in to work each day. Management (middle, senior and executive) work right alongside everyone else. Very approachable C-level leadership.

    Cons

Benefits could stand improving, particularly in the area of vacation/holidays. Maybe add an HSA contribution as so many workers are young and healthy.

    Advice to Management

As the company grows (which it is doing by leaps and bounds), maintain your connection with the workers at all levels. Continuing being "real".

    Advice to Management

Promote the internship program more throughout local Dallas school campuses
