    Pros

Good people with a committed attitude. Employees have the opportunity to fail or succeed based on their desire to do so.

    Cons

Ups and downs like most companies but many of that comes as the result of the individuals assessment of situations.

    Pros

Pay is decent. Sometimes you get free lunch, not much else positive here.

    Cons

Reminded me of high school- if ur not in with the right clique, then you will be made to feel like an outsider every day. Antiquated software programs to run huge numbers - lots of mistakes happen all, the, time.

    Advice to Management

stop picking favorites and open your eyes - everyone there works thair rear ends off, but so few ever get noticed. This isn't high school, you need more inclusion.

I have been working at Tomra Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some good blue collar coworkers. Some people have a good work ethic.

    Cons

Classic case of what's wrong with crony capitalism. Company wouldn't exist without the support of forced-deposit beverage laws that force distributors to add a bottle-recycling surcharge to every bottle that can be redeemed by returning the bottle. As someone who believes in freedom rather than coercion, I think recycling should be voluntary.

    Advice to Management

Stop drinking from the fountain of crony capitalism. Embrace the real thing, advocate free-market solutions to environmental and business problems instead of this quasi-socialism. Start reading some Hayek, some Von Mises, and Murray Rothbard.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Tomra Systems full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Challenging work and interesting problem solving
    Customer relationships
    Fun coworkers
Training is pretty good and hands on
    Lasers, cameras, and touch screens
    Some autonomy in travel

    Cons

    Disorganized management
People rarely actually care to help
Outside sales force is used, so service is thrown under the bus to keep the sales people happy. Management is a shill for sales.
    No loyalty to the employees

    Advice to Management

Show loyalty and trust of the employees and you will receive it in return.

    "Arrogant And Deceiving Culture."

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Tomra Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My hourly wage was the only pro of working with Tomra.

    Cons

Everything about working with Tomra is negative. Arrogant and deceiving people own and run Tomra. Tomra management uses chaotic and disorganized 'methods' to 'complete' projects. Chaos and disorganization should never exist at any company.

    Advice to Management

Tomra management: Consider what you believe, speak and act. -APPRECIATE AND RESPECT- the -PEOPLE- that work -WITH- you, -NOT FOR YOU-. Employees are -PEOPLE- infinitely more than they are employees. Respect is always -EARNED-. Tomra must earn the respect of employees if Tomra is to maintain employees working with them across more than at most two or three months. If Tomra doesn't respect what it has, Tomra WILL lose everything.
