I have been working at Too Faced Cosmetics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Too Faced is the first company I have worked for that supports empowerment and great ideas. It's a place to grow your thoughts and ideas with fabulous peers who always look out for your best interest. People who work here work hard and it shows in the products we produce. Our Founders and Senior Team stand behind the brands ethics and company morals. They say a year here is like three years, because your always growing...

I worked at Too Faced Cosmetics full-time

    Pros

    - Gratis - Beautiful offices - 401k matching - Extra PTO on your birthday - Estee Lauder company discounts

    Cons

There is huge a lack of leadership at Too Faced and amongst the different departments. It's a very well-known company growing at hyper speed, but the lack of strong leadership leads to many well qualified employees who are leaving left & right (as evidenced by the many job openings). Information is always hoarded by certain departments/individuals and cascades down in an unorganized and disjointed way that makes everyone's...

    Advice to Management

Success starts from the top down - hire people who are strong leaders and even stronger collaborators to bridge together the disjointed departments.

I have been working at Too Faced Cosmetics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great co-workers who really care about one another.

    Cons

Executive team make bad business decisions that affect all employees. They do not value their employees. Extremely high turn-over rate company wide. HR can't even keep up on hiring replacements because over half of HR quit too!

    Advice to Management

Advice to Estee Lauder: It's all smoke and mirrors. Executives are making bad decisions step in now before your business really suffers. The numbers don't lie.

I worked at Too Faced Cosmetics

    Pros

There’s some really great talent here, but unfortunately most of the good ones leave. The products and gratis are fun, but not worth what you have to sacrifice.

    Cons

There are a ton of jobs open because people are leaving right and left. Most people just leave without even having another job lined up because the environment is so toxic. No one is collaborative because the so-called leaders award information hoarders. There’s an extreme lack of actual leadership, people just manage others and everyone in positions above manager levels literally fight over power. They also intentionally...

I worked at Too Faced Cosmetics full-time

    Pros

Great place to work as you look for other jobs.

    Cons

Highly unorganized company that maintains a high school atmosphere to work in. Financial systems are outdated and the average turnover is about 8 months. Little to no training at all. There are 5 people of color, none of which are in leadership positions. People in finance will watch tv shows on their computers and complain about work not getting done at the same time. Good luck if you want to work here.

I worked at Too Faced Cosmetics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Worked here for a short time and mostly enjoyed it. CEO and founders were super approachable and open to new ideas. This company is growing quickly and there is a lot of room for employees to create their destiny. Work/Life balance is good, office nearly empty by 6.

    Cons

Benefits package isn’t as wonderful as other ELC’s, specifically sick days and holidays. Sweets everywhere, not good for the bod! Processes are still being established and managing other teams to ensure they were on track was necessary.

    Advice to Management

With any company there are rotten Peaches that are in senior roles and should be easy to identify due to their team turnover. Help your soldiers who are busting their behinds and get them better leadership!

I have been working at Too Faced Cosmetics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company is experiencing rapid growth which is exciting to be a part of and offers unlimited learning opportunities if you are willing to be open and put in the work to help yourself develop. There is great leadership within Sr. Managers/Directors of departments as well as Sr. leadership. Lots of women could be a negative but I've been overwhelmed by the support from other team members and employees. It has truly only...

    Cons

Just general growing pains, that come with the territory of growing quickly. The company is evolving and with that comes quick changes-if you're not flexible with your day to day this probably isn't the right place for you.

    Advice to Management

Continued investment in manager development, training, goal setting and reviews. Getting to hear from the founders at the Christmas party was such a highlight, more town halls or all hands meetings with business updates from them would go a long way, especially with continued change.

I worked at Too Faced Cosmetics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-There are some very creative, nice & friendly people who work here. -Quarterly gratis -Great products -Good benefits: health and dental plus 401k match -Company themed parties for Halloween, Christmas, Birthdays, etc. are a lot of fun -Office is beautiful; it’s literally a pink, sparkly palace -Animal friendly & products are cruelty free -Clover

    Cons

-Upper management is very reactive and gossipy & Managers Lack leadership skills -A lot of favoritism -Yearly reviews are a joke -Low salaries, bonuses are only for upper management & minimum merit increases for yearly reviews (unless your manager likes you- merit raises based on favoritism not achievements) -Extremely high turn over rate -A lot of work and not enough pay, especially for the location of the office in...

    Advice to Management

With great products, a beautiful office in a beautiful location and an office filled with majority of strong and smart females, the company could do more to providing opportunities to their employees. Train managers how to be mentors instead of afraid that their jobs are going to be taken away from them from their subordinates.

    Pros

Every once in a while there's a party?

    Cons

They don't call it Too Faced for nothing. The Owners are incredibly selfish and condescending. They literally won't hire you if their dog doesn't like you. It is a terrible atmosphere. Unless you like high school, then you'll love it.

    Advice to Management

You wouldn't be where you are without the people who supported you.

There is definite favoritism and difference in treatment coming from account executives.
