Atmosphere is fun. Pay is good if you grind full time. Many, many employees so coverage isn't very hard. They offer benefits for part time. Employee appreciation days.
Cons
Hours are long, your out time isn't your out time. Management is constantly swapping out so you never really can form a good relationship with your department head. Sometimes the managers will choose the customer over you, even if they are disrespectfully out of line. I'll never forget when I had a customer try to put his hands on me and they comped his food and gameplay lol and said I was probably being rude. Pretty big lack of communication in management and they blame their faults on us. There is also extra work you will be doing like hard labor and full banquet and event setup. Including moving 50+ pound furniture and decor and the compensation doesn't always feel like it was worth it. The great relationships you make there can go out the window, as soon as you make a mistake. No matter how much you sacrifice for them. It's not just a serving job, you will be doing other peoples job as well because they don't feel like it on a daily basis. If you ever want to take a vacation after being overworked, more than likely your next schedule will be terrible and it usually seems petty.

Pros
Ok pay, usually great people to work with. Pretty easy to pick up shifts and work more if you want to.
Cons
Management is horrible and they don't treat you like people, or have any respect for you as a human being. For as long as I've worked there the DO doesn't even know my name. Also if you do want to pick up another shift, but you also have another pay code like Caddie or Food Runner, they can assign you other shifts you didn't want to pick up. Caddie and Food Runner pay is not worth it, especially food running. People call out all the time with little to no consequences, and no one ever seems to know what's going on regarding management. Unless you're maybe looking for a second job to make a little extra, I wouldn't work here.

Horrible Management/Decent Pay
May 24, 2023 - Bayhost/Event Ambassador in Tampa, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Honestly. all of the coworkers made it worth it. I made lifelong friends working there. You can make good money if you have a good section, and it’s the easiest serving job you’ll ever have. You don’t run your own food, and barely run your own drinks.
Cons
Sometimes guests, will still for 4+ hours and not til you anything when you have a 4 bay section. It really sucks that there’s no cap. There’s a lot of favoritism with management and the lack of communication between the management really runs the place down. The hours are long 7-8 hours for a shift and there’s a lot of micromanaging.

It's okay, depending on your higher ups.

Decent pay, made some life long friends while I was there, pretty easy when you're at the desk.
Cons
I only got one raise in my two years working there, and it was 23 cents. All of my coworkers got 33. If you have managers or team leads who take their job too seriously it isn't as fun as they say it will be. We were expected to be outside on the tee line at all times (even if it was 100 degrees outside) when guest running, even if there were two people at the venue. If we missed checking in one table they made it seem like the world would end. Never will understand why they expected us to sign people in, especially when 90% of the time they knew what they were doing and if they didn't they would ask for help. Also, guest services signing them in made us look like their server and then it was a hassle trying to tell them that I couldn't even put in a drink order. Most of the people who work here part time are unreliable and everytime you work there is a new person in and one person gone because people are always quitting. I honestly wouldn't work here unless you're in high school or college or just really need the money.

Pros
Get to hit golf balls for free.
Cons
You become programmed to beg for tips and look at people as walking dollar signs. The managers are bullies and try to be overly aggressive in order boss you around. I've seen employees literally get interrogated for not doing anything wrong but they want to make it seem like you did something incorrectly in order to keep pressure on you. 80 percent of the managers are obese and think it's cool to say "heard that". Also this place has a lot of gender confused people that don't want to be the sex they were born as. If you are one of them, you might likely get hired here but I am not sure of at other locations.
