I have been working at Toray Composite Materials America full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Benefits, PTO and Vacation, Location

    Cons

Everything but the benefits Pay is low, very few real growth opportunities unless getting more work for less pay is a growth opportunity. Company is bigoted - people of diversity and women get paid less and are not likely to be promoted into management. Employees are pitted against each other - literally with the raises strategy, management is rogue and evil, Human Resources is a joke. Very dishonest and... unethical. Overall a miserable environment.

I have been working at Toray Composite Materials America full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Benefits, medical, pay, that is all the pros, really

    Cons

Everything Else, toxic culture, sexism, and racism permeates company. Women who have worked there over a decade are treated like they are stupid and talked down to like children and mid twenty white males who are horribly incompetent get promoted over and over again. They hire a lot of stupid people who should be working at McDonalds, not a "high tech" factory. Cuts corners and hypocritical.

    Advice to Management

Start over, the toxic culture starts with management

I have been working at Toray Composite Materials America full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent pay, nice schedule - 12 hour shifts 3-4 days a week, great benefits.

    Cons

Bad management. Favoritism, special treatment abounds. Make friends with PMT's and you are set. They'll even ignore their own polices to keep you as a friend. But don't trust them - they'll say anything to make themselves look good.

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate your good workers - the ones that do their jobs well.

I have been working at Toray Composite Materials America for less than a year

    Pros

    Great pay and benefits.

    Cons

Manegment is a complete joke. Favoritism is the only way to move up in the plant. Supervisors in production are oblivious to the real world and try to outdo one another to impress the PM. 12 hour swing shifts. No concerns for real safety issues only the ones that look good on paper. The recent merger has ruined the plant. This place will change your outlook on life, it will make you wish you had stayed in college.

    Advice to Management

Clean house starting at the top

    Pros

Smaller size plant so benefits of fewer people. Good benefits. Upper management cares for employees.

    Cons

Pay is sub par. Hard to move up in company, More about who you know than what you know.

    Advice to Management

Increase requirements for lower level positions to improve people hired for positions.
