I have been working at Toronto District School Board full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is definitely a lot of job satisfaction to be gained by contributing to education. There are also a lot of opportunities for professional development workshops, seminars, etc.

    Cons

Everything is very slow. Due to underfunding in certain areas, red tape, etc. it takes a long time for grassroots initiatives to roll out, get the support they need, and then see the results that they are looking for.

    Advice to Management

Encourage more open communication between all departments and levels of the TDSB. Everyone should have a stronger understanding of what the other members of the TDSB team are working towards.

I worked at Toronto District School Board part-time

    Pros

A relaxing part time job to take at the end of the school term. This was essentially just like volunteer work, and it was simple and easy.

    Cons

Since this is a part time job, the time spent here will be very minimal. It is more like volunteer work, and not like an actual job. Pay was minimum wage.
