    Pros

The pay is really good. Males get a uniform allowance every 6 months to ensure great-looking uniform

    Cons

If you tell them you have an open schedule, they WILL fill it. But, nothing else, great place to work.

I worked at Tory Burch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Awesome discount policy, beautiful morals and ethical code, strong culture. Retail team has generous comp holidays for salaried team and amazing maternity program.

    Cons

Overall direction-multiple company resets during my tenure, no clear development structure for those wishing to advance, no clear training agenda

    Advice to Management

Provide additional operational support to allow management time to better develop their people and themselves.

I worked at Tory Burch full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

My position was unique as I was able to partner with many cross functional teams such as social media, marketing, creative services and the foundation team. Each and every member of these teams were professional and extremely talented. Some of my fondest memories are campaign and content shoots with the creative services team. The creatives at Tory Burch have vision and are excellent at telling the Tory Story. The... best part of working at Tory Burch is the leadership. My direct boss always encouraged me to grow and evolve professionally and personally. I consider myself very lucky to have been part of this incredibly talented and genuine family.

I worked at Tory Burch full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Discount. Co Workers (depends on coworkers, mine were great)

    Cons

High Turnover Lack of Responsibility Barely (if ever) promotes from within Lack of communication - Not enough intel on events / promotions (will have you looking crazy in front of customers as you don’t know what you’re talking about) - Will do projects etc. and when done will be deemed unnecessary /or unneeded anymore If you’re not white, blonde, and a "minion / yes-man" you’re not going... anywhere career wise, so don’t bother. Unequal pay (will try to lowball you beware, always counter) Hours No growth. The “growth” that happens is in disguise. They’ll change you’re title, you’ll have more responsibilities with little to absolutely no change in compensation or authority. Customers can pretty much get away with anything. Sales Associates goals do not reflect the trends of the current market BOH is not respected and hardly any room for growth (even though they can do everything in the store) Managers are weighed down with responsibilities of NOT JUST the store but also the problems that have trickled down through corporate that they should be able to solve themselves...but you know..... because of the lack of qualified people problems are pushed onto others or just never solved at all. STOP OPENING STORES. JUST STOP. STOP OPENING STORES. JUST STOP. STOP OPENING STORES. JUST STOP.

    Advice to Management

Well management can’t do much as the mess starts from the top/corporate and they have to deal with the true consequences of corporates actions / stupidity with SIGNIFICANT turnover in the stores. Well there’s also significant turnover in corporate and they just replace those people with unqualified people from within or unqualified people from the outside. No one is safe even if you’ve worked for the company,... DEDICATEDLY,.....let’s say 10+ years. Once they have no use for you, can’t find a use for you, or are tired of dragging you along, they’ll cut you off. Unless, you’ve beaten them to the punch and done the cutting yourself.

I have been working at Tory Burch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people. Great personalities. Everyone works so hard.

    Cons

This department is a disaster. They spend a ton of money on beautiful campaign shoots that are later diluted as they live adjacent to bad blogger style photography on Instagram. A campaign shoot that costs 200K to a million may be completely unused. The company is constantly trying to be “cool” and relevant... however it’s a slippery slope when you constantly post cheesy blogger style photos of a 50 year old woman.... How is this cool and relevant to what’s going on in the world today? The creative department is incredibly wasteful. They overshoot and don’t use everything.... creative direction is constantly changing... even after it goes live on the site. When people leave/ quit the department, the company isn’t replacing them due to budget cuts....... and trying to avoid layoffs down the road. Everyone is stressed/ overworked. Changes don’t stop. Be prepared to be “slacked” at 9pm at night or on the weekends if you work on digital... because there’s never a pencils down moment. On the upside.... if you want experience... even if you’re unqualified... they’ll take what they can get from you.... and push you till you break/quit.

    Advice to Management

Hire a talented visionary of a creative director. “Prints and color” is not a concept. Sharpen the focus and stand for something! Stick to a marketing plan. Stop making changes.... the first option is always the best option. The less copy, the better. People don’t read anything but “sale” anymore anyway. Also... why is there a “blog”? No one reads blogs anymore.
