I worked at Tory Burch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working at Tory Burch was grueling. I was very fortunate to have been hired by a wonderful manager. But when the management changed it was even more hectic and chaotic. Hard work was often unappreciated. They did give clothing allowance.

    Cons

The schedule was different everyday, every week. No life work balance. They push really hard but don't really appreciate your hard work. It's never good enough.

    Advice to Management

The only way it was worth it at all was making commission.

I worked at Tory Burch part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great promotions and employee discounts. Didn't pay well for a " luxury brand " Loved my staff but did not support company dynamic. Higher ups were out there for themselves.

    Cons

After 4 months of being there, massive layoffs happened where they laid off all AGMs and made assistant managers work more hours for salary instead of paying them the hourly they deserved for all of the over time hours they put in. They attributed more of the company budget into giving out free champagne and beer to their clients than to give us uniform regularly and to pay for enough staff to run the store.

    Advice to Management

For higher up management in corporate and to the CEO, appreciate your staff that are all brand ambassadors at each store and stop working them to the bone because you would rather alot the budget into making a client " feel comfortable " by giving them free champagne and beer.

I worked at Tory Burch full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Small sales teams so sales where easy to achieve. Hourly play is a little above average.

    Cons

Training lacked, team work wasn't there. Company is women dominated. No one can make a suggestion and men have to walk on their tip toes because the slightest uncomfort a woman feels, you are done. Even for man of the homosexual community.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your team and make sure your associates and management team is properly train. Learn to train and listen instead of the money lose and then having to restructuring because the company did not properly work out a financial plan. Know your markets before opening a store.

    Pros

Pay use to be good w/ 3% comission but, they took that away.

    Cons

Work too hard for the pay you get. Customers who shop are the worst.

    Advice to Management

Communication is key. Management needs to get that together.

I worked at Tory Burch full-time

    Pros

Talented and dedicated people, great location, great product

    Cons

Corporate is not what it used to be. A few years ago, I would've give it 5 stars. The company has lost sight of the people to focus solely on bottom line. Work/life balance is no longer valued. Few people at the top now making all of the decisions, causing tons of spin, and making everyone miserable due to their indecisiveness.

    Advice to Management

Put attention back on the employees. Go back to the buddy values which no longer seem to exist. Begin to empower and support associates again.

I have been working at Tory Burch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Discount and the caviar trip

    Cons

The commission was the main bonus for working there but they got rid of commission and replaced it with team bonuses this has caused many sales associates to leave the company. They expect you to do the same hard work for less pay.

    Advice to Management

    Communication is key

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Be honest. The company bases its culture on values but does not live by them
