I have been working at Tory Burch part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only thing that keeps me here is the 3% commission of every sale, and every month or two we get 60% off employee discount including outlets. Plus you get a uniform and change at work so its nice. Tory Burch's stuff is great and most of it is good quality.

    Cons

    Managers are very snobby
Dont value the autonomy of their employees
Pressure them to be aggressive and forced to sell only to get their bonus
The managers will write you up even if youre one minute late, it's insane.

    Advice to Management

Aggressive selling is not the only way to sell!!!!
Try to actually care enough about your employees and understand their skill sets and give genuine advice based off observing performance.
Respect your employees and don't take away their sales.

I have been working at Tory Burch part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Store moral is low because manager is awful. Upper management turns a blind eye as #'s r met=$'s.

    Cons

Pressure to make inflated #'s so manager makes bonus. Manager talks about u behind your back, everyone is paranoid. Schedule is always late or changes day b4- is that legal?

    Advice to Management

Learn how to listen to your employees, you are a sneaky cold fish. She makes people not trust one another.

    Cons

-OMG, hard customers. Dramas all over the place. I am not kidding, I have been here for half a year, but I cried three times already.
-Very strict schedule policy. Can't be late, can't missing the day, you have to call if you are late even for few minutes. Can't ask manager to change schedule in a week. Always need to use email to contact managers about schedule. Can't say no to holidays. Can't just reduce hours a lot. Can't have a long break (more than a month). Inflexible. Be aware.
-Warnings. I can't believe there is written warnings. Mostly is about attendance problems. Like I said, attendance is everything here.
-Thank you notes and weird customers policy. Be prepare to deal with a lot of customer issues.
-Unorganized stocking. Really hard to find what I need.
-Backhouse is messy and unorganized. Inconvenient.
-Policy changing all the time. . I really can't follow up with it
-Product Knowledge. There are always new inventory and You really need to follow the product knowledge which is impossible since we have to study on our own.
-Lack of communication between team members. We don't have many meetings going on. But there are so much new information everyday sometimes could be really overwhelming.
-Charge send. Believe me, Charge send is so complicated and I try so hard to avoid it.
-Return policy. Tory has a good return policy , way too nice to customers and hurts my sales so bad.

    Advice to Management

    -organize back of house
    -please don't change policy everyday
    -more store meetings please
    -temporary trainings on product knowledge.
    -more flexible schedule.
    -reduce written warnings.
