    There are some great people!

    Cons

    Ancient...have no clue what's good for their teams or people.
    They are broke...have no money to order you a pad and pen.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on what makes the company function (your people).
    Stop pretending the sky's not falling

    I worked at Toshiba America Business Solutions (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Met lots of good people and formed many deep and lasting relationships. Was allowed to grow professionally abet with limited promotion opportunities. Enjoyed my work group and most customers.

    Cons

    Company went through some very rough times prior to my lay off. Very bad for morale, but most was caused by external issues. Very poorly handled lay off process. You're treated without compassion or acknowledgement of many years of loyal service. Was notified of lay off at 6pm my time via a cell phone call. No advance notice to allow time to hand over projects or clean out your office. Severance package reasonable but should have included outplacement services.

    Advice to Management

    You should be more open with your employees, especially those with decades of loyal service. Consider rethinking the reduction in force process to consider the human factor.

    Pros

    The work is mostly independent. So, there's a lot of freedom.

    Cons

    Techs do not get paid what they are worth. High Stress. Techs have to use own vehicles. The whole company manages itself through a numbers game. There were periods of time when I actually went to more service calls where there were no issues at all. This is due to the fact that if there isn't enough service calls, it still reflects negatively on the technician if the number of calls addressed daily is lower than a fixed number.

    Pros

    Training, benefits, percs if sales goals are met are all a plus. Professional attitude by most employees and co-workers. Demanding but fair managers.

    Cons

    Too much is expected of exec's. Long hours at office or on road in territory made even longer with "home work" inputing info into salesforce. Too much time wasted updating database, and in meetings. Not enough time for calling customers.

    Advice to Management

    Create a dedicated lead generation or appointment generation team so account exec's can go and sell...

    I worked here for numerous years and found it to be rewarding and a challenge I would recommend working here great people and benefits

    Cons

    Not too many cons a lot of overtime not much access to upper managers raises were few and far between if any

    Advice to Management

    I would speak to the staff more as a manager and find out how to be a better company increase salaries and benefits

    Pros

    Great Co-workers. The office is really nice and there is a lot of support for the sales team. The commissions are really good, and the bonuses are better than most copier companies.

    Cons

    Low base salary. They don't do any advertising because "thats what the sales team is for."

    Advice to Management

    Invest in advertising. the competition spends the money for it and you should to. Relying on the sales team for brand awareness is cheap, lazy, and archaic thinking. Business is hurting because of it.

    Management wants you to be successful, and will help to make that happen. Training is in-depth. No micromanagement as long as you are doing your job and bringing the deals

    Cons

    Not a easy industry, very competitive. Market share is not developed enough throughout territories. Mainly all cold calling which is expect
