    Cons

    Worst management and office culture I have ever worked for, people leaving in droves... STAY AWAY FROM TOSHIBA!!! They are probably going out of business or being sold anyway.. 5.8 billion in debt..

    Advice to Management

    Quit or retire!!!

    Pros

    The work is mostly independent. So, there's a lot of freedom.

    Cons

    Techs do not get paid what they are worth. High Stress. Techs have to use own vehicles. The whole company manages itself through a numbers game. There were periods of time when I actually went to more service calls where there were no issues at all. This is due to the fact that if there isn't enough service calls, it still reflects negatively on the technician if the number of calls addressed daily is lower than a fixed number.

    Great service dept with good management

    Cons

    Poor sales support. No programs for new account acquisition.

    Advice to Management

    update competitive program. The MFP market is mature and moving away from traditional printing copying. Intregrated solutions are the future.

    I was not physically abused nor was I asked to commit a felony

    Cons

    Be mindful that TABS is so unconcerned with doing the right thing that they haven't bothered to remove Mark Mathews as the CEO on this Glassdoor profile. Scott Maccabe has been the CEO since June of 2013. He was also appointed to CEO of TGCS last summer, 2015. Most of his time is spent at TGCS and he has left the old guard completely to their own devices, during his absence, at TABS as "the office of the president."

    There are two political parties at war internally at corporate. The climate is so petty and childish that, even at the director level, peers are unwilling to work with each other and throw each other under the bus. Rules are purposely ambiguous to ensure any staff member can be blamed at any time. Executive level management encourages this behavior rather than resolving the obvious issues. And that, as well as second level product and service offering quality, is why TABS will always be a challenger or worse in the market, never the industry leader.

    Advice to Management

    Survey your clients and staff every year to identify and resolve issues. Communicate with your staff, all of them, not just sales and marketing. Your leaders are not communicating to the staff either and don't even pretend to have an open door. When a large number of staff has expressed concerns with a director, there's something wrong with that director, fix it rather than excuse it. And to Toshiba TEC, one CEO cannot run two companies. The lack of transparency and high level of politics smacks of a horrid culture passed down from a failing conglomerate.

    Not a single thing. Peers are good people, but everyone is miserable all day long.

    Cons

    Too many to mention. Thiefs. Dont honor vacation pay. Lead by intimidation.

    Fire yourselves and hire effective leaders.

    Free soft drinks in the cafeteria.

    Run the other day!!! Worst company to work for – worst mistake I made was to take the job. Lots of back stabbing by brown nosing employees that are friends with management.
    Management involved in daily gossip. UNPROFESSIONAL!

    Advice to Management

    Stop lying during the interview process. You ruin lives with promises that you NEVER keep. Hire all new managers that don't mingle with employees especially female management.

    Not many, they paid decent benefits..

    Cons

    Worst management team on the planet, horrible service organization, threats, belittled seasoned reps like me, drove anyone out who did not conform with their way of managing. Bad from the Top down, I would stay clear of working for this company.. There are much better organizations out there..

    Quit and do something else..

    There are no pros to this other than to see how miserable it can be to have no guidance and or feedback

    Cons

    No stability, lack of training and reference tools. Poor management, no breaks...required by state law. No direction whatsoever, high school/old school. Need to get with modern corporate times. And they bash companies they have no place to be criticizing.

    Get another job or training

    None - unless you like losing sales because of favoritism

    Great place to work if you like working very hard on deals only to get them taken from you at the last minute by a more senior sales rep.

    Replace all your managers
