Best employee oriented company
Mar 30, 2023 - TS Engineer in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-A company that DO NOT layoff its employees ! Unlike others. -TE takes care of its employees that it considers its biggest assets ! -TE offers a variety of career paths for employees. The company provides training, mentorship, and development opportunities to help employees grow and achieve their career goals. -TE is also committed to creating an inclusive workplace that values diversity. We get to meet many people from all over the world. -TE invests heavily in our future to address global energy challenges and is committed to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. The company has set ambitious goals for reducing emissions and developing renewable energy sources. The best and only one to do that (and achieving it) among the Big 5. -TE offers great benefits that you won't find everywhere
Cons
-TE is highly influenced by Europe - all decisions are made there. -Some people say you can get better benefits/higher salary in other O&G company .... but TE does not layoff ! That's the tradeoff. -TE invest a lot in renewable energies and in reducing its carbon footprint = lower revenue in the short term compared to heavily investing in oil.

Total is a big company with a large portfolio.. No worries about their revenue. Average benefits. Lots of outside perks like gym membership and phone reimbursement
Cons
Poor hiring especially during growth. Company makes large acquisitions so your department could suddenly have 30+ more people and completely change the org.
