I worked at Towne Nursing Staff part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You must be kidding. I guess they’re keeping a few losers from the unemployment rolls.

    Cons

I found all the workers’ first names started with the letter “T”, like T in town. The agency is actually the owner of the nursing homes they staff, it’s one company using multiple names.
Never paid me $100 dollars for orientation, and never oriented me to the time clock at the Holliswood Nursing Home I worked in. About two weeks went by and I was wondering who was keeping track of my time, never being shown the time clock, then I had to fight with Towne to get my money. Extremely unprofessional operation.

    Advice to Management

    Why?

    Pros

They are an horrible company, I've worked with them for 3 years or so the pays you make 630 a week if you are not feeling up to part they DON'T have any hourly aid to come in and if you need to get off work asap if somthing happen they won't let you off last but not lease there rude as freak .If you just ready to work just starting off they will hire you. They hire EVERYBODY

    Cons

They don't care for the worker

I worked at Towne Nursing Staff full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent Pay for entry level CNAs, LPNs and RNs.
When working upstate, You're about 90% in control of When you work.(10% is discussed in Cons)

    Cons

There isn't very much communication between TNS and the facilities they staff in regards to their living standards and Working Conditions.
In a unit with 40+ patients, at No point, on no shift, should there ever be A lone CNA.
at no point, should there be no Nurse.
at a lot of the facilities i've been to, this was, almost normal behavior.
The facilities in question mandate(not sure whether or not that'slegal) to work in these conditions, or They'll "DNR"(fire then replace you). While that isn't the agency's fault or problem, it's been brought up to them.
They don't do very much outside ofhandle individual cases to avoid too much drama, instead of attacking the facility for its unlawful practices.

Also, you're not paid on experience. it's what they give you.

    Advice to Management

Care a little more about your workers.
More often than not you don't hear complaints and concerns because people are worried about their job security, not because everything is running smoothly.

    Pros

I worked 42 hours in one weekend and it's 18 days later and I'm still fighting to get paid may have to file a lawsuit

    Cons

All the people that went to orientation with me have the same problem

    Advice to Management

Setting yourself up 4 class action lawsuit it is a federal offense to withhold wages

    Cons

Management sucks. Doesn’t support their staff. When you are no longer needed will act you never existed. Big liars!!!!!

I have been working at Towne Nursing Staff part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Have a lot of cases to keep you working during the week. You can get over time which is nice. If you just start as a HHA they are good bc they don't require any experience.

    Cons

They seem to lose a lot of cases also, I once got a cases that was supposed to be on going but I ended up working 2 days then they family ended their service. This has happened to me a lot with them so if your one for consistency this isn't the place. Also, once they catch on that your open to working a lot they will call you everyday trying to get you to take a case, one week they had me working 60+ hours. Another con, the pay 11/hr not much.

    Advice to Management

    Pay more.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you had this experience - it can be very frustrating. In general, we do have long term cases however sometimes, something happens that is just out of our control... More
