I have been working at Toyoda Gosei full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Insurance health and dental cost better than most in the area
All the hours you like, even if you don't
    Promote from within

    Cons

12 hour days 5 days a week and more than not 6-7 days a week
    Zero home/work balance
Company only cares about their profit and it shows in the constant turnover
Management is very disorganized and is over ruled my TGMO plant who uses a double standard on how they run the 2 plants.
Appreciation rarely shown to team members

    Advice to Management

Until executive management realizes they are the companies biggest issue, it will never get better! This is not Missouri it's Indiana!

    Pros

Co-workers are great. Facility is nice. Company events are good. Pay ok - management plays favorites and awards bonus' and promotions accordingly.

    Cons

Information isn't shared consistently. Japanese management too strict on hours and face time needed. Not alot of trust. Company very reactive if key employee leaves the company instead of being proactive during the tenure of employee was working at this company.

I have been working at Toyoda Gosei full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They pay very good wages for a job that requires no formal schooling. Most of the people are classy and hardworking individuals.

    Cons

There is way too much unnecessary overtime. Machines are constantly breaking down and are not properly maintained.

    Advice to Management

Maybe work on making a maintenence schedule. Set up a certain time every couple of weeks to look at machinery and see that everything is in tip top shape. Less overtime means less stressed out employees and less company costs.

    Pros

Many friendly employees and co-workers; willingness to help each other.
Benefits were competitive, pay is competitive; physical building and location is very good.

    Cons

Too much finger pointing/blame finding; turnover for new employees is high as new persons have a hard time to be accepted.

    Advice to Management

Allow basic decisions to be made below the Executive Level - change is difficult without it.

I worked at Toyoda Gosei full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people! Fairly nice team atmosphere. Sales management level people were great. Executive level Japanese staff were closed minded. If the idea or approach was not in line with the orders from HQ, no one would listen.

    Cons

Job too reliant on approval process! Corporate Management were snakes, HR Executive Management especially. Working level HR staff were great! Corporate minions seen all the time sneaking around. They need to get a clue. The working level staff know what you're up too.

    Advice to Management

More transparency with the employees that work their tails off for you.
