I have been working at Toyoda Machinery USA full-time

    Pros

Pay and insurance are really good here.

    Cons

Management doesn't know how to effectively manage employees. Lot's of backstabbing, isolation and piling on of duties. They sometimes set you up to fail with no training.

I have been working at Toyoda Machinery USA full-time

    Pros

Full benefits including vision, dental, health and 401k options. Tuition reimbursement, profit-sharing, reasonable salaries, reasonable hours, paid time-off, growth opportunities and a great team to work with overall.

    Cons

Management sometimes treats some people differently than others. Vacation time does not roll-over. Wish there was more of it, starting off with the company as a new employee.

    Advice to Management

Give employees a reasonable amount of work and work that is included in their job description. Everyone should be treated fairly and not called out through emails or various other platforms.

I worked at Toyoda Machinery USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Was able to gain industry experience right after college.
    Coworkers were like family.

    Cons

Company was afraid of implementing new ideas and/or changes.
There was a significant generation gap.
No one would claim responsibility for their actions.
    "Big-Brother" was always watching.
Being viewed as "the cheapest option" instead of the valuable talents I had to offer.
    Salary was poor.

    Advice to Management

When employees offer advice, actually listen to them.
    Implement new ideas and changes.
    Have more flexibility.

I worked at Toyoda Machinery USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are very good. Small company so it feels like family and employees know each other.

They have been making improvements in technology.

There are many events for employees such as sporting events and cook outs throughout the year.

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunities for movement in this company so you better like what you are doing. Pay is below average. Vacation policy is horrible, current employees wait one year for 2 weeks and it really doesn't grow from there. Employees from pre-2008 have 4 weeks. If you are hired now you will never get that much. The difference needs to be rectified. Processes and policies need to be documented. Really got tired of hearing "you need to follow the process" when there isn't anything documented.

Employees are not always held accountable for the quality or meeting deadlines.

    Advice to Management

Put your customers first. Not monthly sales goals. If customers are treated correctly sales will follow.

Look at your current technology, there are many areas of efficiency if you get off your ERP system.

Make all departments work cooperatively together. Stop pointing fingers at each other. Have all employees treat one another with respect.

Managers need to hold employees accountable for work quality and meeting deadlines.

Managers need to manage, not be friends with employees, in order to earn their respect.

Review your policies and help your employees with work life balance.
