I have been working at Toyota Industries full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Meet new people...that's it!

    Cons

Everything from the management, pay, benefits, etc. People who say "great benefits" must never use it at all, cheap medical premiums, but expect a bill everytime you use it.

    Advice to Management

Care more for your employees if you want to keep them. That's why there's always openings...people quit all the time once they find out how bad it is there.

I worked at Toyota Industries full-time

    Pros

Supporting several companies with a shared services model allows employees to make a big difference in the workplace for others.

    Cons

Not a lot of room for advancement within the small company, but plenty of opportunities with subsidiaries.

I worked at Toyota Industries full-time

    Pros

Great company to have on a resume. Excellent project management skills can be acquired, the company is always looking to pass on knowledge.

    Cons

You are teamed up with people that speak English as there second language, a translator is required for almost all interactions. When trying to explain complex things to your Japanese counterpart things are lost in translation. Can be very frustrating. Prepare to work long hours.

I worked at Toyota Industries full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Insurance was very inexpensive and good provider. Company was new.

    Cons

Working conditions were not what I wanted. Worked near the furnace and was sucking in carbon but could not get a appointment for a mask fitting. Upon leaving each day my face mouth/nose was black with soot. According to safety it was safe and within standards. Bags of carbon dumped into the furnace was labeled with a warning about it causing black lung. The Japanese managers were more interested in keeping the place clean than peoples health and safety.

    Advice to Management

Replace your safety people and adhere to real standards. Hire people with experience of working around a furnace.

Toyota is very demanding and expects long hours from its employees.
