I have been working at Toyota Motor Corporation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Car lease, 9/80, Bonuses, Financial Outlook

    Cons

Too much politics, Favoritisms, Very Toxic environment due to Toyota Connected so called “Agile Coaches” abusing their positions and treating people unfairly! Certain people in Management treat will total disrespect to the extend that it kills your self confidence!!

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the Coaches (jokers) Nigel has put at the company!! The Toyota Connected Coaches pretend as if they are Gods of Agile and treat you like crap discouraging new ideas, they only want you to do things their way because they never want to be proven wrong! None of the so called coaches have real coaching experiences they have worked as Scrum Masters at best for a few months! They are not there to Promote Agile... they just want to secure their jobs! Management is too blinded to see beyond the BS they are fed! Listen to people who have some great vision and don’t let Managers squash careers!! Put a suggestion Box on every floor where people can drop anonymous ideas/suggestions/complaints. Don’t be afraid to hear new ideas!!

I worked at Toyota Motor Corporation full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great work life balance. Co-workers are all very nice and friendly. Executives are personable.

    Cons

Consensus culture fosters meritocracy. People are not willing to take chances so improvements are only incremental.

    Advice to Management

Reward honest feedback. Value enterprise initiatives as much as verticals.

I worked at Toyota Motor Corporation full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Toyota is a fantastic brand and genuinely wants to provide a happy work culture for employees. Excellent job security and benefits.

    Cons

The downside of job security is too many employees coasting while high performers are burdened with an excessive workload. Experience outside of Toyota is not valued. The best way to increase your salary is to leave the company instead of taking an internal promotion. Some departments have a locker room culture where the old boy managers stick together. Would not recommend for a mid-career professional female. ... You have better options.

    Advice to Management

Generic advice to call the Speak Up Line is a joke. The happy culture you want to create will not happen during my working years.
