    Pros

    Stable employment over 29 year career. Opportunity for advancement if desired. Work culture that is based on mutual respect. Good pay and benefits program.

    Cons

    High stress environment for supervisors at times. Lean manufacturing means doing the job with 16 people when you really need 20.

    Advice to Management

    Do not forget basic principles that Toyota was founded on, mutual respect , teamwork and value each employees contribution to the team. Toyota's success has been incredible because of the consistent high quality vehicles that Toyota is famous for producing. Teamwork is the key to this success.

    -Lots to learn at a big place like Toyota
    -Good compensation
    -Interesting projects

    -My mentor was no where to be found for 2 out of my 4 months so I had to find work myself though people in my department

    gives sorting and certain type of people skills with employees and gives a sense of organization skills that can prove to be useful in the future.

    Cons

    pay could be better. very closed in. more storage space is needed. paper insufficient way of documentation in this day and era making computerized files more convenient

    Money and benefits, family oriented. 401k matching. Ample pension. Stock options. Child care services.

    Factory, destroys your body with repititious work, loud, inept management.

    Pros

    Great people that genuinely care about their employees. Good work life balance with flexibility and industry leading benefit package. Lots of opportunity for growth and advancement.

    Cons

    Some technology upgrades are needed with out dated systems. However, the company has acknowledged this and they are addressing it.

    Advice to Management

    Flexibility is the future of the workplace and Toyota is starting to recognize and implement that. The more flexibility management can offer, the more satisfied their employees will be.

    Pros

    It is a big company with endless possibilities. A credible company as well. Great benefits and great rewards/bonuses. That's all.

    Cons

    Putting in many hours can seems sometimes underpaid. Depending on the departments it can be pretty stressful and the coworkers can be very unpleasant.

    Work for your employees and your employees will work for you. Truly.

    Good compensation, capable coworkers, lots of responsibility. Great coaching from managers and executives. Opportunity for lateral and vertical movement within the company

    Cons

    Very hierarchical management structure, strict overtime rules, home office friction b/t North America offices. Sometimes contradicting feedback between managers and executives

    Corporate, inefficient, slow, and often boring.

    Advice to Management

    I think management does well with what they have. I just personally find a smaller office environment where I can where multiple hats to be much more engaging.
