    I worked at Toys "R" Us part-time

    Pros

No consequence for a no show
Time and a half on holidays
Extra 3 2 or 1 dollar on certain days like Saturday or Friday

    Cons

Don’t notify if you have a check waiting
    No organization
Didn’t care when people called out
Won’t answer phones when employees call
Not enough hours you get 9 max but then 16-20 during Christmas and thanksgiving
Takes forever for them to approve of price changes
Never could log on to my adp

    Advice to Management

More hours for seasonal workers most people signed up for 30 hours and only received a maximum of 10 very slow so we’re often standing around and fixing shelves only for them to be messed up in 3 seconds . Managers definitely don’t communicate with each other at all which is very confusing and we had no type of training !

    Pros

Absolutely nothing is positive with this company except for a couple good friends I've met here. The 10% discount is a joke.

    Cons

Management is horrible. If you're their favorite you're good, otherwise they'll have you clean the bathrooms. If you don't get the demanded metrics you do not get any hours. Instead of firing you they just give you 2-4 hours a week until you quit.
They don't follow any of the policies, so if someone brings back used, dirty toys.....they'll take them back and you look like the fool when you've already said no to the customer. That customer then comes back weekly with more nasty returns.
Customers are allowed to yell and swear at you and management will do nothing but blame you for getting the "nice" customer mad!
Treat long term employees who show up and really work, like crap and the constant no show/call outs like wonderful employees.
Pay is horrible for the amount of physical work they demand of you.

    Advice to Management

None....they don't listen to their "real" workers

    Pros

    Friendly co-workers
    Generally clean working environment

    Cons

Not nearly enough training for new hire employees. When dealing with how to tax exempt customers the information was explained poorly and when confronted with a real life situation and asked for clarification management just walked away, claiming you should already know.

    Advice to Management

Properly train your new employees. Have better communication for seasonal workers as it was very unclear when our last days would be.
