I have been working at Trace Ambulance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

flexible schedule, easy job to do. Mostly good partners.

    Cons

Very little experience to be gained. management will chew you up and spit you out. This place is no a team. It usually feels like ALS vs. BLS Vs. Dispatch vs. management. Pay is garbage but better than most private companies. you only get a 25 cent raise every 6 months if you're lucky. You're just a pawn here and no one will give a damn.

    Advice to Management

Take care of you're employees. Happy Employees make good employees. Make this place feel like a team. Pay people an actual livable wage. People shouldn't have to work 80 hours a week to make ends meet. Employees should feel like management cares about them and that they actually know what there doing.

I have been working at Trace Ambulance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great resume builder, respectable job. One rare occasions I was actually able to do the things I got into EMS for (help people who truly need it) and not just help commit insurance fraud

    Cons

Private ambulance companies use and abuse you. Once you get hurt they throw you away and hire another kid straight outta school to replace you

    Advice to Management

Hire professionals and pay them a livable wage and you will see wonders happen with morale and clientele satisfaction

I have been working at Trace Ambulance full-time

    Pros

They were very flexible with scheduling. Most co-workers are great and enjoyable to work with. Overall an extremely easy job

    Cons

You get off late consistently, most dispatchers are unprofessional, some coworkers have no idea what they are doing or are just miserable, the job does not pay the bills, and there are very little opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Have a better screening system for employees, talk to the dispatchers about being more professional. Create more opportunities to get promoted so your employees can earn more money in order to pay bills.

I worked at Trace Ambulance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Schedule when the scheduler does not lie.

    Cons

No raise reviews, ignores safety concerns, does not discipline properly. Petty unprofessional dispatchers. Not trained EMT's just civilians as dispatchers mainly.

    Advice to Management

Perform the 6 month reviews in a timely manner. Raise pay rates for education and to a livable wage. Dispatchers need a discussion on professionalism.
