I worked at Tractor Supply part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The manager I had was incredibly nice and considerate.

    Cons

A ton of gossip happened there, but almost everyone on the team I worked with has either left or gotten fired since then so maybe things have changed.

  4. COVID-19

"My experience was interesting as I picked the job up during the pandemic, however it is a pretty typical part time job."

I worked at Tractor Supply part-time for less than a year

    Pros

I enjoyed the pay, there were also some nice workers. The General manager is the most level headed manager I have ever had.

    Cons

I was constantly sexually harassed as one of the only college aged females in the place, it was simply distracting and inappropriate. Also, hours would fluctuate often (hours would be cut one week and raised the next). Finally, there is a good amount of lifting involved in the job- which was not too clearly outlined upon hire.

I have been working at Tractor Supply full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company has a great set of values that they try to live by every day. They take care of their employees. They make sure there is an equal balance between work and home.

    Cons

At store level, they struggle to meet employee needs. The pay is a bit lower than what it should be.

I worked at Tractor Supply full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Its a growth company and should be for a few years. Its fairly tech savvy and its a great place to learn to do more with less. There are a lot of great people that work there.

    Cons

The succession planning revolves around 5-10% of the workforce. In general, these people are promoted and paid much better than the rest of the company. Its a zero sum game though, where the dollars required to overpay a select few come from the rest, resulting in poor wage growth for anyone not directly in those plans. Reviews are suppressed and you will be given overly critical annual reviews to justify your meager wage growth.
