I worked at Trademark Property Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Desperate to keep talent so will "pay to play," mercenary approach to business and talent. Good Texas reputation.

    Cons

CEO constantly trolling TCU graduation rolls for young attractive women from "good families". Emotionally embroiled and questionable relationships from executive office on down are fairly standard. Schizophrenic decision process that starts at the top. Very poor national reputation, largely unknown.

    Advice to Management

What you think you do on sundays does not define what you actually do the rest of the week.

I have been working at Trademark Property Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Trademark offers easy office hours, relatively good benefits and actually builds a place were people want to be. The Owners Heart is in the right place which makes you feel you are working for something meaningful

    Cons

Inconsistency, Lack of Direction, Lack of Management, Lack of Experienced Managers, Lack of Trust toward Officers and Executive Group, undefined roles and responsibilities. No Maternity Leave

    Advice to Management

Consider focusing on the plan for the future, executives need to trust all officers to help guide the company and take it to the next level. Officers and Executive need to gain trust of the rest of the company and establish an well thought out organizational chart that is followed with hierarchy of duties and responsibility. This is truly a great company and the owners heart is in the right place. Trademark is going thru a rough fast expansion and will be successful.

    Pros

CEO has family money, provides stability
    Texas economy is booming

    Cons

    New projects are not leasable
Divested best core assets, now fee managing
Hiring and promoting decisions are made based on non-performance metrics, questionable HR practices
Open office plan unpleasant, tight, and only creates fabricated "sharing"
Big brother always watching, employees secretive, snapchat and secret liaisons by executives are standard
Highly political environment where executive committee members constantly sabotage or undermine each other and others to gain favor

    Pros

Good opportunities, CEO favors young people, especially women
    Pay can be competitive

A lot of idle hands that are energy drains
Schizophrenic "leadership" in a highly political organization
    Say one thing, do another
Think one thing, actually are another
Titles and accolades given out like medals to a Russian General

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Great vision for the development and creation of place making, The Founding Partner is an artist rather than a developer of commercial retail. His attention to scale, mass and color, as well as to the amenties within the common areas is a great skill. His dedication to public art and the overall shopping experience is a testament to adding value to the development of retail shopping centers.

    Cons

Founding partner claims to be an expert on everything. His obsession with details makes it difficult to make any property level decisions, He has a tendency to micro-manage all aspect of the operation of the property without regard to the talent of the on-site management staff.

    Advice to Management

Allow people to perform the jobs they were hired to perform
