I worked at Trafalgar full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I made some good friendships (all who have quit)

    Cons

-Lack of respect for employees under Management -Lack of management skills all together -Petty work environment -They don't give raises, just "promotional raises" that are ultimately "cost of living raises" that's basically potato money -No career growth or work-life balance (even though it's encouraged)

I worked at Trafalgar full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some good people and friends in the team many of whom have now left the business.

    Cons

This is a marketing environment where poor communication prevails, people are blamed and treated appallingly in front of their colleagues, people are hired and fired based on family/friend relationships, there are many ‘promises’ of progression/development that never get realized, and anyone who tries to make a difference and change things is eventually driven out of the business. It’s really sad to see the behaviour of a couple of ‘executive leaders’ fostering a blame/bullying culture but lacking basic management skills themselves and destroying what could be a good team.

    I worked at Trafalgar full-time

    Pros

Pleasant colleagues, travel industry experience and travel opportunities after 1 year.

    Cons

The turnover was extremely high across numerous departments, great professionals were treated poorly if they ever spoke up and challenged upper management on anything, individuals were also treated poorly by upper management in front of their colleagues, and unnecessary stress was visible. Certain departments clearly preferred to hire friends of friends, pushing away people who had devoted years of service. This was an unhealthy workplace, where you could not bring your own knowledge forward and only favoritism allowed people to grow. In all the departments you are expected to execute and nod, making sure the management team hears what they want to hear not what they should hear.

I worked at Trafalgar full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Experience in the travel industry

    Cons

All about hierarchy and who you know instead of appreciating hard workers. Bosses don’t care about their staff wellbeing and expected to work until the job is done instead of having a work life balance. Industry discounts not very appealing. Salary not competitive. Departments don’t like to mix. Technology is far behind.
