    I worked at TransPerfect full-time

    Pros

The people. TransPerfect has great people to work with. Easy to get along with and very collaborative.

    Cons

They severely underpay their employees. While management makes the most money, every other employee gets underpaid. They also have a high turnover rate, mainly because of pay and growth opportunity. Management refuses to spend money on necessary tools and always looks to save a buck. There's also a lot of politics in the office. The issues between the CEO's have driven many people out of the company. Although it doesn't...

    Advice to Management

Pay employees what they're worth. You can't retain people when they feel expendable and underpaid. Let employees work from home occasionally. It makes them feel trusted.

      I worked at TransPerfect

      Pros

Great people. Fun work environment, supportive management, lots of socializing. Autonomy in the job is great too - Love new ideas!!

      Cons

Lots of politics - because of the legal and political situation the company finds itself in, it can sometimes lead to tiptoeing with regard to certain job functions.

I worked at TransPerfect full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Pro? I was lucky to have great people on my team. And the job paid the bills (barely, however). These are two few pros to even fulfill the 20 word minimum in this review.

      Cons

Not even sure where to start. Toxic environment. International colleagues hide behind mean anonymous emails. People don't stick to basic communication manners. Terrible workload, terrible pay. No payment for overtime, which is required often. Hard work is not appreciated the way it should be. In the shortest amount of time people working here get miserable. High fluctuation. Expect us to work with insulting rates for...

I have been working at TransPerfect full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Great people to work with, nice gym perk in the office, flexible schedule

      Cons

Honestly, if you're not in sales you don't exist in this office. They make it a point to say what a great culture there is but the only people who do things and are invited to things are sales people. The rest of the "team" is relegated to a lower floor that looks like a dungeon. There is no culture outside of sales, it's frustrating.

      Advice to Management

Make it a point to include everyone in happy hours, office parties and a nice office environment. ...that or just let us work from home. Also it's word that you don't offer benefits until you've been there for 60 days. ..seems dishonesty since healthcare is mandatory to have

I worked at TransPerfect full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Great people to work with. Global company with many offices.

      Cons

The salary is very low. Management is a nightmare. Very little room to grow as an employee. Not much opportunity other than getting some experience.

      Advice to Management

Improve the culture of the company ASAP or your best employees will leave. Give opportunities to your employees to grow within different roles. Take the time out to see what your employees actually want.

I have been working at TransPerfect full-time

      Pros

There are some great people who work at TransPerfect. Not sure if they'll stay long-term because they deserve better! Office location

      Cons

The glassdoor reviews you will read are entirely true. TransPerfect is a high-stress sweatshop. I read a review that said to run, and now I know why: There is no work/life balance here. There is basically no training offered. New hires (any level) are treated like 'pledges' and are expected to jump at the chance to do busy work for managers and senior managers. Every day you are reminded that their time is...

        I worked at TransPerfect

        Pros

Great environment. Great people. Successful company that is growing fast. Great balance of fun and hard working environment.

        Cons

Lack of structure in Intern program. Day to day work versus long term projects.
