I worked at TransPerfect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Environment is nice, offices are great. People are awesome. Benefits are simply okay.

    Cons

They love you do extra hours. When the Law asked the company to reduce them, they decided to take 15 minutes from our lunch time everyday to compensate this somehow. Great revenge, thank you.

I worked at TransPerfect full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Meeting a few great people who like to work hard and are passionate in what they do.

    Cons

On most occasions you will not have time to take a full lunch break. Under the UK law, you are permitted to have at least a 20 min break, away from the desk if you work 6hrs+ You will constantly be assigned to a large volume of projects, even though you do not have the capacity to handle these. As a result poor translations are delivered to the client. Where the blame will be focussed on you. Workoad is unfairly...

I have been working at TransPerfect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

there is only one good thing about this company - you will meet a lot of great people from around the world. The company deals with translations and therefore employs staff who speaks at least 1-2 languages.

    Cons

way too long working hours without getting paid overtime. unprofessional management for most of the time there is a great misunderstanding between sales and production favoritism management absolutely doesn't care about its employees and uses it as disposable resource

    Advice to Management

become professionals and start treat people you work with. Reduce swearing at work place and provide people with clear incentive to stay late if required.

I have been working at TransPerfect

    Pros

Good career progression opportunities with varying paths in a wide variety of areas. You can very much make your own future at TPT, as long as you have good vision and are bettering the company. Great people. Good bonuses.

    Cons

This is not an easy job, you will be pushed at times, but this is needed to better yourself and further your career. If you have the motivation you can reap the rewards.

I worked at TransPerfect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people to work with, fun to be around colleagues from so many countries. Good but very tough learning experience, Some fun times. If you survive successfuly here, you'll thrive anywhere else.

    Cons

Not a con precisely but it's mindboggling how what could be a truly great working environment is trumped by their corporation's greed. It's all about making a billion dollars by 2020, that's the only thing that matters, it's probably the company's philosophy. The only philosophy. So everything is rushed, everyone is pushed to their limits in order to make that goal. When there is enough money to hire more people and...

    Advice to Management

No artificial deadlines, treat your employees like partners, not soldiers to be sacrificed for the benefit of a few. The "Just deal with it" mentality when a problem is encountered is not savvy management.

I worked at TransPerfect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people, team-atmosphere, learned to be independent and responsible for myself, formed global relationships, free happy hours monthly!

    Cons

No work-life balance, awful pay, even when you are not at work you stress about everything that you did that day and everything you have to do the next day. You are not considered a "human" at the company, only a computer operator. Perfection is demanded at all times, managers have been known to yell at people publicly for not meeting very high expectations. You meet amazing people, and become friends, and then they quit.

    Advice to Management

Either hire more people in production to be able to meet the high demand and high workload, or pay project coordinators and project managers more so they feel as if the 60+ hours a week that they spend in the office, and not sleeping, is worth it.
