I have been working at TransPerfect full-time for more than a year

      Pros

You gain lots of business skills here. Co workers are young, energetic, and hard working. There is a lot of respect between co workers and the work itself is interesting.

      Cons

Long hours...for fresh graduates, expect 10-12 hours daily... I mean, you have no other commitments right? Just kidding, honestly, this company could do so much better if everyone got paid for the amount of work & hours that they put in. The production team does so much and their efforts get brushed off. Im sure that the production team knows more about the company and could sell better than AE & AM's.

      Advice to Management

Spread the wealth. Everyone sees the profits earned and this should be spread out, especially more towards production. PC's and PM's are the core and does a fantastic job so reward them. Employees are overworked so either hire more people or increase salaries. Resolve this whole CEO battle and follow the original mission to become the best. Invest in your employees because they are youthful and can grow together. Turnarounds...

I have been working at TransPerfect

      Pros

The Milwaukee office is amazing, low-key, but hard-working. Working with languages is fascinating.

      Cons

The translation industry can be incredibly fast-paced sometimes and so you might have to work a long day or skip lunch.

I have been working at TransPerfect full-time for more than 4 years

        Pros

Opportunity is available if your want it! I have been at transperfect going on three years. In that time I have watched several people advance their careers with hard work and dedication. upper management is accesable although super busy. The people are the best resource at transperfect! A young eager and enthusiastic staff.

        Cons

The company is growing too fast, especially amidst all the distraction of the CEO drama. Things aren't always done as fast as needed and departments aren't always in sync with what others are doing. Expectations to work long days on salary with out bonuses.

        Advice to Management

Halt sales, and train and develop the staff you have. Perfect and streamline client processes, then take off to the moon with a refreshed energized young staff that want to work and make transperfect great!

            Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

            I worked at TransPerfect

            Pros

Some of the best people I've ever worked with, who became some of my closest friends to this day. I was able to fulfill my dreams of traveling to foreign Countries for business, while making my footprint in the largest city in the World. I received a ton of experience that I wouldn't have received anywhere else, and although you need to put in the hard work - Senior Management rewards the effort.

            Cons

Hours can be long from time to time, but again it pays off. You're given responsibility, structure and put in a team like atmosphere - and it's up to you whether you sink or swim.

I have been working at TransPerfect full-time for more than 4 years

            Pros

Great people - team oriented, hard-working, young /energetic, and proactive personnel.

            Cons

Family of companies does not work as seamlessly as marketed. Company acquisitions can be improved with better integration of human resources, and beta-testing of new technologies. Division within local offices are highly compartmentalized and siloed off. Information sharing is difficult and direct network tunneling to other offices are not accessible. Company is experiencing a lot of infrastructural growing pains...

            Advice to Management

Stop growing new offices. There is a huge need to standardize workflows across offices, improve IT/network infrastructure and make satellite offices self reliable.

I have been working at TransPerfect full-time for more than 4 years

            Pros

I have been at TransPerfect for 3 years now. I came to this company after being an Operations Manager for 8+ years. I started out in the PC role and quickly moved my way up to Team Lead and now onto other special projects. TransPerfect has rewarded me, both professionally and personally, for all of my hard work. The more I did, the more I received. In the past year, I have travelled to 5 countries (either because...

This job is a lot of hard work. I won’t sugar coat that. It is NOT for everyone - just like any corporation, it’s a competitive environment and the bottom performers don’t get rewarded. Its merit based and they opportunities are endless, but there is a ton of competition for those opportunities. That being said there were many issues that management has been made aware of...

I have been working at TransPerfect full-time for more than 2 years

              Pros

Young, driven, fun colleagues and great growth potential. It's a place where hard work is definitely noticed and rewarded. There will definitely be difficulties but if you show that you're willing to invest yourself and you have a desire to advance in your career, the company will find a way to make it work for you, whether it be through increased support in your current role or working with you to find a position that...

              Cons

Specifically in Production, you won't have your standard 9-5 hours, there will definitely be late nights. However I have seen more of an effort from upper management to acknowledge and decrease what can sometimes be heavy workloads.

              Advice to Management

Continue the effort to hear the concerns of employees, especially entry-level ones, and also continue to stress how important understanding and education in the working relationship between sales and production is.
