    Pros

    Decent pay, decent work/life balance

    Cons

This company is horrible, Managers do not know anything about sales or managing employees. Micro-managing to the max, you cannot even speak with a co-worker without the manager saying something to you.

    Pros

Can look good on a resume because reputation is so bad in the industry that other employers figure if you can survive there you can survive anywhere. Company makes a fairly quality product

    Cons

Negative atmosphere, talked down to constantly, micro-managed at all times, no direction, GM plays favorites

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Transcend Information full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

*Pay is only okay, but there is not much upward mobility. *Company does not reduce staff right away during economic slowness unlike other companies. *Good place to get some experience and pad your resume while getting okay pay.

    Cons

*Company is highly micro-managed by big-brother HQ overlords and the GM. *Low employee morale. *High turnover. *Throughout the term of the current GM, solid and dedicated long-term employees have been driven away for many years and are replaced with new low experienced ones to save salary cost. They will get their on the job training from peers, get some experience under their belt, and often leave for another company unless they have a thick skin. *Unbalanced work expectations in which non-sales departments are over-burdened, under-paid, not respected, criticized for not working every second of every 8 hour day, while some sales are over-paid (not all) having only one big customer or a few smaller ones and have a lot of time to be on the internet or other things. *Some days you can hear a pin drop because the sales floor can be so quiet. *Hourly staff are treated like dirt.

I have been working at Transcend Information full-time

    Pros

Depending on which team you work in, not too stressful and you don't have to bring the work home. People there, with the exception of the GM and another Sales Manger, are really cool people to work with. We kind of all feel we are on the same sinking boat together.

    Cons

Not stressful because you are of no value there. They treat you like an order taker, actual GM will sit down and make a list of 1-5 of what you should do. All of which lacks creativity, lacks strategy, and is fully intended stroke his own ego and is of no value to whatever issue is on hand. Leads me to think about why they want college educated workers when your college degree is of little to no value there. The environment is creepy, you enter the sales floor and it is quiet. The GM does a great job at creating a negative working environment. He doesn't know much about the market or selling strategy, his main concern is to make sure the employee doesn't take their already earned PTO and that people are not on the internet, so expect micro managing, expect the GM to walk through the sales floor with the sole intention of catching someone online. I would not wish this job on my worst enemy. For all the new employees, use this as a stepping stone and then leave.
