    I worked at Transocean full-time

    Pros

Transocean offered tremendous opportunity if you were willing to take on the challenge.

    Cons

There is a bit of the "good old boy" mentality but I believe that is prevalent throughout the oil and gas industry.

    Pros

The pay, benefits, and schedule were all good. I definitely think it was worth the job and being gone a lot.

    Cons

I have been working at Transocean full-time

    Pros

Excellent place to work with transformation occurring throughout the organization. While industry is challenged at the moment, TO will be well positioned to take advantage of the upturn. Great engagement and empowerment through new cross-functional team charters. The Strategic Initiatives and and Shared Values are inspiring, motivational and a clear direction in which we can all strive to exceed. Exciting times!

    Cons

Due to industry challenges, the real opportunity is to keep everyone focused on execution instead of negative environment.

    Advice to Management

Remain engaged and continue the open communications.

    Pros

Travel a lot, great place to work, lots of exposure, great people to work with, world's largest fleet

    Cons

Training only provided to offshore personnel not onshore personnel. They do offer tuition reimbursement but if you are traveling a lot there is no time.

    Advice to Management

Invest in onshore personnel as much as offshore personnel.
