I have been working at Transport for London full-time

    Pros

    Decent office locations (Victoria, Waterloo)
Free Zones 1-6 Travel Card, 75% Discount on rail season ticket, regardless of distance.
30 days annual leave and core hours system.
Work from home and flexible hours system for working mums and dads.
    Gold Plated Pension.
Pay can be good once you hit payband 3 and generally higher than borough councils.

    Cons

Poor staff morale due to restructures and poor recruitment practices.
Experience counts for absolutely nothing when applying for promotion - watch out as that Graduate Trainee will be your boss in 18 months! Nepotism is rife amongst senior managers.
Senior Managers are generally of a poor standard and operate in their own bubble. Projects go over budget all the time due to lack of experienced staff.
Hard to get in TfL as managers are too scared of potentially good people 'rocking the boat' or changing the status quo.

    Advice to Management

Clear out the stale old payband 4s and 5s and bring in people with some real world experience, knowledge and charisma.
