    Pros

Other under appreciated agents. Work at home opportunity. I cannot think of any other pros but they require twenty words.

    Cons

So much wasted time is spent trying to find information that is not uniformly placed in client profiles. Supervisors who don't know how to handle call volume dispatch. Constant not picking numbers and volume. Ridiculous amount of scripts and finishing information needed to get things done. Poor employee morale at agent level. They try to make it seem like you matter but they don't care about anything but numbers. Employee owned does not give you any say in how things are done.

    Advice to Management

Lay off the constant harping on volume. I do not know of one person who is sitting around doing nothing. Agents work hard for you and you need to learn to appreciate that not everyone can be Super Agent. Some people want to work at a pace that is reasonable and have no desire to advance.

"Large Gap Between Management and Non-Management Employees"

I worked at Travel and Transport full-time

    Pros

    -Fantastic rank and file employees
    -Stable, growing company
    -Employee ownership

    Cons

-Gap and disconnect between management and non-management employees
-Lack of management accountability and mechanism to receive feedback from those they are leading

    Advice to Management

Travel and Transport has a very unique culture that is heavily driven by the highly tenured senior management group. The ESOP program and overall success of the company is constantly promoted to all employees. The company however is very management driven and there is a wide gap that exists between the management and non-management employees. For those who are in upper management, the company couldn't be greater...almost to the point of it being somewhat of a "cult of personality." Non-management employees overall seem to have much different perception and feel that there is a stark difference in the way management employees benefit and are treated vs non-management. Having a highly tenured management group does bring many advantages, but it can also lead to staleness, lack of mobility for others, and lack of accountability. There are several individuals in management who really shouldn’t be leading others…but have sat in these positions for long periods of time at the bemusement and frustration of those they are leading. Overall, there needs to be greater accountability for all who are in management. Non-management employees need a mechanism for holding management accountable or at minimum providing meaningful feedback for those who they are being led by.

    Pros

Friendly coworkers made it a pleasant work environment, work from home, decent work life balance even though schedule wasn't too flexible

    Cons

Management, training is horrible and inconsistent company wide, no standardized procedures or difficult to find for different clients, benefit package

    Advice to Management

    Quit partying with the employees

I worked at Travel and Transport (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a very laid back environment, you can wear pajamas on Saturdays!

    Cons

Management rather be friends with co-workers and spread gossip, lack of training, lack of maturity. Does not care about family values and they do not care about other important things that might be happening...like a death..

    Advice to Management

Actually learn how to manage! You do not influence your employees to talk bad other's. Also do NOT discuss another employee's evaluations or write up's, it's very unprofessional.

    Pros

employee owned company is all i can think of

    Cons

Too many to list, managers have no clue on how to make reservations, they will always nit pick everything you do.They want you to be a robot instead of a human on the line.
Pay is horrible basically a joke.Vacation time is hard to use and they also will tell you times of year that you can take off !!! look for a better place than this to work.

    Advice to Management

get rid of the managers, they do not help too many managers/assistant manger/supervisor/give me a break-have them take calls a week a month so they get a clue on what the job they are managing is!!!1

so much to offer beyond agents (accounting, HR, Marketing, Vendor Relationships, Account Management, IT, and so much more)
they will promote from within but they also will go outside to ensure the right fit is found
Travel Management Program with an area college, very dynamic
easy access to our executives, everyone knows them and they know everyone (within reason)
support, support, support - they do care
    the list goes on.........
