- "Everyone genuinely cares about helping each other accomplish the task at hand regardless of what role they are in." (in 3 reviews)

Pros
Fast paced, with lots of cool stuff to work on. Super friendly crew, everyone is talented and great to work with. Rapidly growing and hiring many new positions, so theres lots of upward opportunities.
Cons
Fully remote position. Would prefer having an office space to work in every now and then. Heard that optional offices will be available soon though

Pros
Company was acquired, so there is reasonable job security.
Cons
As a sales employee at TravelBank, I have had a terrible experience. The company has failed to provide a reliable and supportive environment for its employees. There is no job security, and the pay is far below market rate. The management is unsupportive and unresponsive, and the work culture leaves much to be desired. There is no sense of job satisfaction or recognition, and the workload is often overwhelming. The company has also failed to provide adequate training and resources, which makes it difficult to stay up to date on the latest trends in the travel industry. All in all, working at TravelBank has been an unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Pros
This is an amazing team from top down. Everyone genuinely cares about helping each other accomplish the task at hand regardless of what role they are in. If they can help, they will. People really show up and do what’s best day in and out but are also laid back and work very hard to ensure our customers are satisfied. Recently got acquired by US Bank, so these are exciting times as this presents a ton of growth opportunity for those who want to get after it.
Cons
TravelBank was a startup not too long ago before being acquired. So there are still lots of things to figure out as you go and lots of changes. This isn’t a bad thing in my opinion because I think being part of the growth and change is exciting. However, this can be a con if you find yourself wanting standardized processes already in place.

One of the best teams you will ever find
Cons
Must be able to work within ambiguity and natural startup challenges
- Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Fast paced environment with limitless upside. I feel like I am part of a family at TravelBank, everyone I have worked with have been extremely genuine and sincere. Flexibility to work from home or unwind at anytime. The Executive team has a proven track record of success and the market is technically untapped because legacy systems own the majority of it. I am beyond thrilled to have made the decision to come on board and love that every day is so unique.
Cons
Startup life can be challenging, especially in a sales role. If you are not a self motivator with an entrepreneurial mind state, TravelBank is probably not a great fit. With that said, although there is a lot of work needed on the front end, the reward on the backend is huge being this is a trillion dollar industry which is changing extremely fast.

- Scrappy, fast-moving, and growing at lightning speed - Award winning product with a strong focus on design / UX - Great marketing with a fun brand voice - Experienced executive team - Legitimately fun people and office environment - Actual work life balance (best I've experienced) - Unlimited PTO / working remotely
Cons
- Strategy / key decision making tends to be done based on gut instinct - Need deeper bench of employees with prior expense / travel experience

I like having an impact and working with others who are passionate about what they do
Mar 12, 2018 - Senior Engineer in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
* like-minded individuals that care a lot about what they do. everyone gets it. * effort to impact ratio is high. its a small team. everything that you work on is important. * flat organization. if you have an idea about the product or process that you think will provide an improvement, its an easy path to share and get feedback. * exciting product and industry. Travel is something that has universal appeal. Working on a product that will change how the travel industry operates is an exciting prospect * challenging problems to solve. as an engineer most of strive to "make cool stuff". for some of us, this is a beautiful product with amazing UX. for others its scalability. you will like (most) of what you work on * engineering culture. there is a focus on accountability, but also a balance between extreme engineering and understanding the needs of the business. we try to do things the right way and also try to improve.
Cons
the cons will be commonplace to most startups that are trying to do more with fewer resources. * process is in flux. not a con per se, but this is something that you have to stay on top of. * small team. as a small start up, there are goals we have to meet to continue to serve the business. this may involve working late or over the weekends to hit certain deadlines. this is not normal operating procedure, but it happens from time to time. not for everyone. * there is a lot to do. every now and then we need to step back and reassess our goals + mission.

Fantastic culture with exciting times ahead

If you want to work for a company that truly values it's employees, TravelBank is the place for you. Great people, ever-evolving product, collaborative environment with everyone working towards the same goal. Comp plan is fair and bonuses attainable if you put the effort in. Great leadership at all levels. I can't wait to see what we accomplish over the next year.
Cons
Startup life. Constant change, but those who know how to thrive in that type of enviornment will enjoy the fast pace.

I love working for TravelBank! It is a great feeling knowing that you are creating a product that will forever change the travel industry. Everyone is quite pleasant to work with and very helpful. The company continues to grow and bring on new clients who are very excited about the product! TravelBank offers vast opportunities for promotions and continued success. I enjoy being able to help mold/influence the product and set company standards.
Cons
This is the first startup I have worked for - so getting use to startup mentality/structure!
