I worked at Travelers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get paid every two weeks and get health insurance. Parking is free. The office has windows. They do not charge you rent for your cubicle.

    Cons

Micro-micro management scrutinizes everything. Expect to fail. Nepotism reigns. If you are not part of the chosen few you will not be able to advance.

I worked at Travelers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Decent Pay and Decent Hours

    Cons

Many - if you are over 50, they will not fire you but make your life miserable. You will be pushed to your limit with humiliation . They don't want to pay pensions or unemployment benefits, so if you are older, they just force you out.

    Advice to Management

My supervisor was absolutely no support for me, She just wanted to save her job. I don't think she works there anymore, so maybe she was pushed out as well.

I worked at Travelers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay scales are good, hard work does get recognized for the most part.

    Cons

Upper management is clueless most of the time as to what really goes on and makes far too many bad decisions based on their perceptions. Workloads are really high and demands on staff and supervisors is just ridiculous. This company will literally hire anyone with a pulse regardless of their ability to do the job. Takes an act of Congress to get rid of employees who can't do their job. Too many functions being outsources overseas.

    Advice to Management

    Change your culture

    Pros

pay was excellent and they did do a lot of community service

    Cons

never really appreciated the employees but pretended that they did care etc. make no mistake - this company is 1000% about making a profit and they will overwork you - worse than other insurance companies

    Advice to Management

learn to manage not inside 1 job that you have had for your whole career. they need to be much better well rounded leaders...
