I have been working at Travelers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent development programs, a great place to start a long term CAREER. You’ll feel a great deal of pride at Travelers compared to other companies.
    Culture is Key.

    Cons

Few if any. Large organizations tend to move slower in terms of getting new ideas on the ground, but this is to be expected.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, we appreciate the investment you’re making in the company’s future.

    Pros

Great Recruiters. Very passionate about what they do. Lots of talent within. Love the Company..... TA department???? It was once loved.

    Cons

*not what you know, it's who you know.
    * They hire their own from the outside, pay them a lot of money, and sure they will get huge bonuses.
*They inform staff about "SOME" opportunities, but don't encourage you to apply
*They don't tell you about "SOME" opportunities and promote those that they know. you eventually find out via email announcement
*Interesting fact, most recent internal promotions.... well... they've only been with the company for about a year. All former Chubb employees. it's looking like a mini merger between Chubb TA & Travelers TA.
bonuses are awful.. well depends how buddy buddy you are with some
Morale... to the floor.. never seen anything like it

    Advice to Management

I'm no longer there because of these reasons. My advice, not that it would matter is that when leadership is visiting... make a point to show yourself to staff...let them know when you are visiting.... get to know them....don't just walk by them and not acknowledge and look at them from head to toe as if they were less than zero. i really hope it changes before you start losing more

I have been working at Travelers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have not started with travelers yet my first day will be on 01/18/2018 and I am very excited as many employees have told me how amazing the organization is so I look forwards to beginning my career here. But everyone has been very helpful with my process in beginning Michelle in HR was such a great person in helping me through out the process.

    Cons

    I have not experienced any.

    Advice to Management

Continuing doing what you are doing because it clearly shows by the employees.

I have been working at Travelers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

General great all around benefits from company. Takes about a year to get into the flow of things, but once you do, its pretty consistent. Great entry level position into UW, but can be a career job if you'd like(plenty of people have chosen this path)

    Cons

December and January are rough months. Very busy times and hard to take PTO. Unfortunately, pay could be better

    Advice to Management

Be realistic with account standards. Don't try to reinvent the wheel every two years.
