I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Traveling Vineyard has been one of the best opportunities I have ever been given! It has allowed me to meet a bunch of new people that I am lucky to now call my friends. I have also paid off half of my student loans with this "side gig". Oh, and did I mention, that I am on track to earn an intensive trip?! The opportunities are truly endless!

    Cons

Managing a team can be very difficult but it is all part of the learning process.

    Pros

This job is funfilling! It's so much fun to share our wines with new wine friends while bringing a smile to their faces. It's also very fulfilling, personally, financially, and relationship wise. This is the best business to work as a couple. There are so many positives and positive people to meet. This has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life!!! It has actually brought my husband and me closer...

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

I love that I can create my own schedule and work whenever I want to (or don’t want to). It gives me the flexibility to be home with my children but also make a second income for our family. Plus, I get to drink great wine with great people. It’s so much fun that it doesn’t even feel like work.

    Cons

I have a lot of sweet wine drinker in my area. Only con is that I wish we carried more sweet wines.

    Advice to Management

    More sweet wines

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

So much support from the company & other wineguides across the country, awesome wines, given all you need to get started, such a fun job, meet so many great new people, constant training opportunities, commissions & how they work are better than other companies I've worked for. So much support! Great quality wine! Get to share wine with others for tastings & for job opportunity.

    Cons

I don't have anything for cons. If you work the business you reap the rewards of your business.

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

A year and a half I thought I would give this wine guide thing a try. I am so glad I did. I have been able to generate a second income and meet so many wonderful people along the way. I work as much or as little as I want to. I am so happy I took the chance especially having never been in direct sales. Another benefit, the CEO stated behind us 100% and is always doing his best to make us happy. I am truly blessed.

    Cons

There are no cons when you sell wine and run your own business.

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time

      Pros

TV is a direct sales company that uses the party plan model. Conducting the in-home wine tasting "events" is a lot of FUN! You meet new people, teach them about wine, AND sip along with the guests...and then earn commissions on the sales. Wine Guides can set their own hours and book events based on their own scheduling needs and goals. The commission structure seems fair and Wine Guides can earn commissions between 15%...

      Cons

The alcohol industry is extremely highly-regulated and varies by state. Therefore wine guides have to be very careful with their business to ensure laws/regulations aren't being violated. This can get a bit nerveracking, esp if a state changes its laws. While awesome incentives are offered for new wine guides, very few are offered for existing wine guides except for occasional contests where you can win a branded item...

      Advice to Management

Although I've never met nor interacted with him, the CEO seems like a genuine person and is fairly active on the internal social media platforms. Perhaps offer some additional human support options for Wine Guides whose "uplines" are inactive or aren't the coaching/mentoring type. Also, the company could benefit from more consistent communication when major changes are made in policies and procedures that affect earning...
