I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love the flexibility I get with Traveling Vineyard. There is no pressure to go beyond what I want to do, only support. I happen to have a FT job that I love and I think it's great that I can do both. The educational opportunities and the benefits are outstanding and I basically have my own business but never feel alone, there is support all around to assist me in doing great things. The wines are fantastic and I have no problem marketing them all, quality is superb!! They have also come along way and are always giving back to their employee to make our jobs easier. Many companies charge the consultant for things they give us for free!! and just when I think they have done above and beyond they do something else to help me with my business!!

    Cons

They need a few more accessories to market but other than that I have no complaints. They listen every time there is concern. I would like to see a way to virtually attend and get credit for some of the regional meetings since it's often hard to make them.

    Advice to Management

Keep the great support coming and keep up the great work and Thank-you, but remember to keep things simple and about the wine!

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun and flexibility are the two most prominent reasons I chose Traveling Vineyard. The quality of the wine and the support from corporate make this job feel easy.

    Cons

One wish I have is that I could offer my own little discounts or bonuses when I have great customers. I know this is not the company's rules, but that it is the liquor laws.

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fabulous wines, friends that you make, work when you want and of course extra money is the reason to work as a wine guide.

    Cons

There is really no downside to the wine. It is hard to get events sometimes and disappointing when they cancel but that is a part of direct sales.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do the great training and creating that you are doing.

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a single mom, I love the flexibility that comes with being a wine guide with Traveling Vineyard. I am able to work my business around my full time job and my parenting schedule with my boys. The financial reward from my business has allowed me to take vacations with my boys and pay down debt. Over the past two years, Traveling Vineyard has made multiple improvements to make things even easier for wine guides to run their business. Also, the amount of support that is offered by the staff at headquarters and from other wine guides is incredible. You are truly part of one tribe at Traveling Vineyard. Finally, Traveling Vineyard wines are AMAZING and speak for themselves when people taste the wine. It makes my job pretty easy when marketing the wine!

    Cons

I cannot thing of a single "con" as a wine guide with Traveling Vineyard. The success of your business definitely depends on the level of effort you put into your business. The only potential negative is that I wish the host rewards would differ more than just two times a year.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the amazing work! And Rick.....you truly are the best CEO EVER!

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The cheerleaders are fast at responding to any issues. Very nice staff. Great training and informational website.

    Cons

Way too many glitches/errors pop up when entering in system. If a host/customer wants to change their order they can't. Margo is inconsistent. Sometimes it posts, most times it won't.

    Advice to Management

If host/customer wants to change an order maybe give them 24 hours to do so after placing order.

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Traveling Vineyard only makes decisions that will positively impact us Wine Guides. They put us first and know if we are taken care of and supported, we will do even better work. The support from our CEO to all other wine guides across the country is like no other company, not just direct sales company. To have such high quality wines from around the world at such an incredible value makes my job as a Wine Guide so easy to market these amazing wines. Management listens to our suggestions and concerns and has very open and honest lines of communication.

    Cons

One con for me is the lack of accessories. Advanced wine drinkers or repeat customers already have all of what we currently offer.
