I have been working at Travelport full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great work/life balance, fair pay, understanding managers, and great leadership. Terrific work environment and work from home ability.

Interesting travel technology where you never face a lack of work or lack of enthusiasm to do the work as most of the work is directly driven by the industry.

    Cons

As in every large successful company, change is frequent and can hurt. Sometime people you worked with for many years may get affected by a lay-off, but then can be rehired somewhere else within the company....

    Advice to Management

    Keep striving for better!

I worked at Travelport full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great compensation, benefits, work environment, HR staff and exciting to work in the IT Industry for Travel, watching helping both evolve.

    Cons

Like a lot of companies these days, there is some 'pain' that comes with company growth and evolution. Mergers and acquisitions require the ability to adapt fairly quickly as cultures come together. I view this as an opportunity to learn and experience something many will not. Not necessarily a Con.

    Advice to Management

Continue to evolve the roles & responsibilities with titles and banding while the overall Industry evolves.

    Pros

I've loved my time at Travelport so far. I work on interesting projects and always have something new coming across my docket, I get to travel internationally, the pay is above the industry norm for my role and I am able to participate in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan at a discount. Furthermore, when needed, managers are very flexible and the work/life balance is very easy to manage. The workstation technology is also a plus, I have a large monitor and can get a second if needed, ergonomic swinging arms for monitors as well as your standard laptop, dock and IP desk phone.

    Cons

Travelport recently re-organized its business structure, there were many improvements but they're still working out some of the kinks.

    Advice to Management

Add more social activities at the office

I have been working at Travelport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

One of the few places i have worked that seem to actually respond to what the employee surveys say. They do not just give lip service and respond to the topics that they want to; rather, upper management actually takes on the issues and makes changes.
Travelport has a good work life balance for most teams.

    Cons

New senior management, so it is hard to say anything here. There are always minor stresses involved in transitions but it appears those speed bumps are almost over.
HR departments are slow to act. Especially when acting on hiring decisions made by teams with open resources. Please be patient when applying. It is worth the wait.

    Advice to Management

Organize and give more resources to our HR departments and encourage them to work with the teams to help with the hiring processes.
    Communicate opportunities for charitable involvement.

    Pros

Work life Balance, very friendly environment, the company demonstrates a type of concern for its employees. Business is advancing via Technology

    Cons

tight with moving up the ladder/growth in certain areas and departments, easy place to become complacent

    Pros

Fantastic internship program! Very well organized and you can tell that there is a great respect for the program among the employees and senior leadership there. They also advocate team activities with all the interns to encourage collaboration along with personalized managers and mentors for each of us. Additionally, we had weekly meetings both live and over video conference from various members on the senior leadership team that were very beneficial in gaining a clearer and more dynamic perspective of how various sectors of the business operate.

    Cons

Personally, I would liked to have a bit more technical projects to work on, but this doesn't in any way diminish from all the value I gained from being an intern there.
