    The people were amazing. Very helpful and passionate about helping people in the community. Lots of resources.

    Some red tape just as in most large organizations.

    Great benefits, such as insurance and retirement.

    Cons

    Not enough help, so had to work a lot of overtime. Not a lot of room for advancement.

    Pros

    Travis County is great employer for any stage of your career. Great retirement, good salary for the area, dedicated work force.

    Cons

    Some disparity in job titles, salaries between departments when duties and responsibilities are similar. Working for elected officials can be difficult, but sometimes rewarding

    Advice to Management

    Communicate better and more often with rank and file. Try to focus on similar goals instead of trying to "one-up" each other .

    Great Benefits and time off. Health insurance is good and both dental and vision are offered. Having a pension is also nice.
