I worked at TreeHouse Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked in a union shop so pay for the job was pretty nice.

    Cons

Messed up paychecks. Had to keep track of my own hours. Heard stories of timeclocks not working properly and upper management trying to place responsibility on employee(s). Good bit of harassment from other employees, as well as other employees trying to usurp authority which they did not have. Was not given proper training for job I was hired to do even after months of being there. Couldn't understand what most of the people were saying half the time as they didn't know English very well. The list goes on...

    Advice to Management

Get it together. Run it like a business, and get your employees in line. Recognize those who work hard and revamp your point system. Check your upper management too. Some of them almost made our job impossible.

I have been working at TreeHouse Foods full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Goal oriented with culture of continuous improvement. Constant growth with solid top end leadership. Hard work is nurtured and rewarded respectfully.

    Cons

Company holds on to weak links. Standards, policies, and procedures are solid, but more competent people in the right places will help growth.

    Advice to Management

Managers and Directors need greater control to let go of weak links. HR structure gets in the way.

I worked at TreeHouse Foods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros at this company.

    Cons

This company is all about chasing stockholder's and making the bottom line look good. Senior leadership sweats assets, does not invest in its employees or plants, and micro manages the business . Based on what I saw, it is a shell game all designed to line the pockets of those in Oak Brook.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your plants, invest in your employees, and make the company a viable one THEN the stockholders will come.
